O.K, I know this is a bit of an extension of the 'who to buy' thread, but this is for a whole team.

So, who are your ultimate 16 players chaps? The best starting eleven and 5 subs. These don't have to be in your current game, just players that you have bought at some point and who have 'done the business' for you.

Obviously if you currently only play three at the back and five in midfield for example, then your starting eleven will reflect that. I haven't really thought mine through yet so I'm gonna leave some blank and edit them in later. So, to get the ball rolling....

Is that Cherno Samba? If so i've just bought him. I thought he was a regen having stats like that at 20. I really like Nikiforenko also, though I'm having trouble with work permits the last two games.

Riquelme seems very prolific for me when he plays in the AMC position and Dunwell, although stuck in non-league football, can score truckloads when he wants to. Nigmatullin gets in because, the one time I bought him, he was like a brick wall in goal. Wayne Quinn gets a mention because he really, really can become a good asset to club and country. As can Gavilan, despite the fitness problems. Shearer gets in for obvious reasons, his lack of speed doesn't stop him from getting 30 goals a season. Isaac Oronkwo is a commited defender and Frederik Risp really can hold his own, despite his age.

Others worth a mention:

Radoslaw Kaluzny: Aggressive but he gets the job done.
Clarence Acuna: Another good holding player but he often moves on for a new challenge.
Eldar Hadzimehmedovic: Prolific and cheap. Currently has 33 caps for my Norway side. Only 21 years of age.
Shay Given: A good guy to have between the sticks. Doesn't always produce, mind.
Stephen Pearson: Another prolific midfielder.

Samba really is that good. Millwall's squad is full of top talent.

I've been thinking about getting Riquelme for a while now. Eldar never really performed well for me and I found Risp got 'owned' in big game matches, which is why he got left out of my ultimate 16. :mrpimp:

I think i made 2015 with Liverpool.

Hyypia was a consistant performer for me, i always remember that, got about 3 or 4 seasons out of him. lol

Owen, for memory, 20-30 goals a season.

I can never get Ronaldinho to leave PSG. Now...take some deep breaths.....Gomez is not in my game!! I am not currently playing with the update used, so is he a part of that? He was in my00/01, but when I tried to have a look for him after starting to play CM01/02 again he was not in the game. You may want to go and have a lay down now. :D

far better than maxim cos he gets loads of assists too. He's just a legend, he doesnt score as much as anyone on CM4 but on 0102 he was fantastic.

He scored 30+ in 3 consecutive seasons at Valencia for me.

I've spotted a 27 year-old called Raul Martin (in 2006/7). He starts out at Motril and his stats are quite stunning. I've promptly signed him up for my Frickley side (Conference) and he's scoring for fun. Is this a fluke or is he as good as this at the start?

I'd check with the editor but I really can't be bothered.

on a very very very old editor that ive not used in about 2 years (which im not even sure is actually using the CM0102 file) it says he has current ability 68 and a potential ability of -1. So yes he could become good.... possibly.

All of his other stats are 0.

About zanetti... christian zanetti?

I currently have him on my b-ham game, i rotate him in the dmc with gerrard. I got both very cheap when they were transfer listed. Gerrard has been magnificent there, but zanetti has been getting lots of 8,9 s, but without the offense that gerrard brings. Is zanetti really that good?

Speaking of people that should be dead........

Alan Shearer is 40 in my game. 1 for reflexes. Currently out of contract.

I think that reflexes only matter for keepers anyway. Maxim has only had 4 or 5 since i bought him, but still scores a ridiculous amount of goals.
