Well how did you all fare in round 1? I managed to win 6-3 away from home against a fairly inactive division 7 Swedish team.

No game, I had a bye. phippard's Everton Eagles are out, got hammered 5-0 at home by a Swede. That's the only other result I know about.

9983 teams entered.

13 rounds means 8192 teams exactly, so about 1791 teams need to be knocked out before we get the right number.

The Last 2 league Matches I have played I have lost 7-1 and 5-1. So in a cup Im expecting to lose by more. Im playing a Division 7 Swedish Team. Expecting to lose by 5 goals.

it is a rip off that some teams get a bye and others have to play, mz hockey is stupid and not just for this reason!!!

A) I got quite a straightforward task so a comfortable win
B) I got ranking points

yeh I'd rather have played than had a bye. An extra game so extra money. Not bothered by ranking points though.

I lost 4-3 away against some Belgium team. I probably would have won it if it was at home. :(

They were winning 3-0, before I pulled it back to 3-3. But they scored a winner in Period 4 (is that like extra time?)

i guess it's some kind of sudden death overtime but it could also be a little bug.. i had 2 friendly league games where it said 'Period 4' even though the games were no draws...

Another Div 7 Swedish team, another victory. 7-2 win at home this time. I've got further than my football team has ever got in a cup!

I won 2-3 and 5-4.

i guess i'll be out tomorrow - i'm playing against the #18 ranked team, HC lieto, in the next round - they were just promoted into the finnish SM-Liiga and are their #1 ranked team....

had a bye then won 6-2 .... which considering my previous matches were 7-1 11-2 9-1 7-0 all against me... i perform well on the big stage i guess..

A convincing 8-3 win. Away from home again to a decent ranked American chap.

Hope I get a home game now just for that bit of extra money.

my cup run ended in round 3 - a closer loss than expected, but still a 2-3 loss against the finnish #1 ranked HC lieto...
i guess i have to concentrate on winning my last league game and not getting relegated to div.2

ok so much for my team performing well on the big stage.. lost 12-1 to a team ranked 18,000 ... hockey still doesnt have a pattern to it...

Beat a div 2 Danish team ranked at 122, 5-1 at home. Heh, I'm suprising myself :confused:

from what i know, the income frome cup matches will be shared between both teams, so i guess having a home game isn't so important because the home advantage doesn't make a very big difference - in a lot of friendly games i played, i won away and only managed a draw at home against the same team in the same formation...
who are you playing against pauly? i just checked and found out that my next league opponent is still in the cup - Flaschenkönig HC from Div.1.1 in germany....

You do share the gate receipts, but you get nothing for the facilities. I would probably have had another £20000 if I had 3 home games, never mind anyway.

I have Claxton Cline Chesnuts...I'd like to say they're a small Welsh mining village team - they sound like it - but they're a div 5 Swedish team ranked around the 1k mark. Not bad a chance of getting through, will be tight whatever happens.

Somehow I managed to lose to them 8-0! Certainly shouldn't have been 8-0 though they deserved to win it anyway. I have a 5 puck goalie as well and that was against a div 5 Swedish team:confused: . Looks like the Swedes already have taken advantage of a bigger domestic market and seized some good players. I knew one of the away games would screw me up eventually. :kader: Unhappy at my team...extra training needed. Match results are pretty erratic in hockey atm so I can't exactly dub my team losers.

I won again, all over them, but only won 3-2, all their players were knackered but I still couldn't score more!
