What the heck does he think he is doing? He is selling every good player on the team. He just sold Pasanen to Portmouth this week....there is no doubt Trabelsi and Vaart are going in the summer,and maybe even De Jong and Piennar, he sold Van der Meyde, Chivu, Mido, Witscge and Bergdolmo last summer. I dont understand why he is selling all these good players, i have not heard anything about needing money, in fact Ajax said that they fixed all the money problems by selling Mido and Van der Meyde.:kader:

Sincerely hasnt that really been the clubs' policy for a while now?...obviously CL exit has contributed to the speeding up of events,prob to guard against the value of the players falling even more...its the moneymen im sure koeman wants his best players.

Maybe are the players who decide if they want to leave Ajax or not.

Why are you so surprised? He always sell's off good players. He than proceeds through the youth system and brings up more talent.

:rolleyes: yes i know Ajax always sells the good players after we do well in the CL, but never this many in such a short time. Unlike last time we lost so many good players (1995) this time there really are not many amazing youth players in the team, there are a few but not enough to get us anything more than the Dutch title.


And i think Zlatan will leave in the summer, he was going to leave this past summer and go to Roma with Mido, but Ajax called off the deal and Mido went to france, so Zlatan stayed.

And Brien is back from Injury so he can take Pasanens place. :D

Lets face it, Ajax are not making enough money to keep all these good players, none of the dutch teams can afford to have big money guys for long. And since their run in europe is over as well as a surprise exit from the dutch cup, all thats left is the league title. They are gonna seel players just to make ends meet, but they will always get younger players with just as much talent.

Ajax always sells, players or coaches. They just substitute that person with some young talent.

As far as I know Pienaar and De Jong aren't goign anywhere. Van der Vaart may leave in the summer, and Pasanen wasn't being used anyway. What the purpose in keeping him on the payroll then? Ajax has always sold players, that's how they survive in modern football. They will find new players and get over it. Ajax 2 (young Ajax/promising players) has some very good players in their team.

That's the problem of beeing a dutch team, you can't keep your good players for a long time. It's a shame really :kader:
