Has anyone noticed sound problems during play. Like crackling during commentary. But it isn't there all the time. It comes and goes

just down sound acceleratin fron directx menu but commentary always had some problems (slow com)

Sound crackling occurs during heavy processor usage especially if you're using onboard sound. New drivers can sometimes fix the problem. I'm using an Nforce2 board with the Nvidia apu and experienced some crackling after playing for awhile. Updating the drivers fixed the issue.
