I scored a goal while playing as Real Madrid, and it showed the close up celebration of the crowd. To my surprise, David Beckham was one of the supporters! I swear one of the fans had the same hair and face as Becks!

Did EA program the fans to use the same faces as the players? WTF?

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I saw Henry in the crowed to when I was playing in the AOL Arena. :nape:

yes i noticed that too. They do use the faces of the players in the crowd.

I scored with cassano, and cassano, totti, tomassi, and montella were in the crowd celebrating...hahaha....nice touch that ea did do something neat with the crowd this year though

Yeah, i think they just use the player models for the crowd so there isnt such a big loss in fps.

That would be my reasoning behind it, either way- crappy hair or no crappy hair, its a cool goal celebration

agree. it's a bit wierd but it lowers the memory usage.. oh well..

Relax!! there's nothing wrong with your FIFA, for the crowd celebration FIFA uses the starplayers of that specific team.

for example, when I play with juventus with my custom superteam, I see zambrotta, Del piero, ferdinand and nesta in the crowd... :)

Maybe EA should focus their time usage on making a better all-around game instead of messing with dumb@ss faces in the crowd. They've created a beautiful car with a flat tire and a knick in the glass if you know what I mean.

i dont know about you guys, but when i see this, they are also wearing their named and numbered jersey. Saw Nedved in the crowd the other day.. must've made a quick dash to the upper bowl just after scoring....

I would rather not see this goal celebration anymore now that I've noticed how silly it actually is. They should either uses only the generic faces, or just not have that cinematic at all.

Besides, when I'm watching soccer on TV, they never show that camera angle of the crowd anyway, they might pan to a big section of the crowd throwing flares, but never what it is in FIFA 2004.

As for the fans having jerseys with names, numbers and captain's armbands, I havent seen that in my game yet.

man, the game got some hardcore fans, fans that wanna look exactly like their favorite players, kinda gives me the chills of knowing how hardcore people can get :crazyboy: :D

I was at a billiards hall the other night with a couple of my friends, and a guy who had the same hair and looked really like Beckham walked in wearing a Beckham jersey... kinda funny how far people go.

Yeah, the guy was too short and the people he was with would suggest he is definately NOT beckham... but still, creepy indeed.

see. Is cool the cinema of celebration, but EA guys should put the people in fat bodys, skinis bodys. (I dont think that the stadiums dont allow enter people that are not in shape)

I think EA ran out of ideas on how to make the crowd look so they simply put the players clones in the crowd. I usually see my players in the pitch and at the same time supporting themselves. Must be really morale boosting!! :crazyboy: .
