Which will be rejected by Bolton, they are fighting relegation battles season after season, plus they dont need to sell since they were took over a few weeks ago, debts cleared.

yes me too!!
but it is said on tv that okocha wants to return his old team fenerbahce!and president of fenerbahce will buy okocha in 20 days!
shokz 12-01-2004, 05:08:AM Bolton will get more money by staying in the Premiership, why should they sell?.
diroix 12-01-2004, 05:18:AM but bolton's league position is good for they now!
1)man utd
2)arsenal
3)chelsea
4)charlton
5)liverpool
6)fulham

8)birmingham
9)southampton
10)aston villa
11)BOLTON

with this table bolton will not relegate!!!
so they may sell okocha
shokz 12-01-2004, 05:24:AM Sorry but I think you should look at how wide it is, anyone outside the top six may end up facing a relegation battle if they lose just a few games in a row, look how wide it is in that bottom half of the table.

Selling Okocha will dent Bolton's chance's of staying up.
Voltaic Borusse 12-01-2004, 05:26:AM Jay Jay to Fener won't happen.
It would be awesome for Fener, though.

bbranco10 12-01-2004, 06:28:AM IT would ruin okochas career.
fender 12-01-2004, 06:35:AM Its rubbish.
Manny 12-01-2004, 05:41:PM Well Okocha has played in Fenerbahce before so it is not completely unlikely that he will return.
I won't believe it untill i see him in the Fenerbahce jersey though.

you can't be serious..:kader: it's not that simple at all and Okocha can prove useful on the spring.. he's far from his prime tho.
Bobby 13-01-2004, 03:00:AM Bolton aren't going to sell their skipper and heart and soul of the team.
Thats like Man Utd selling Keane. Not gonna happen.

Stuttgart coach Felix Magath is eyeing up an ambitious swoop for Bolton Wanderers skipper Jay-Jay Okocha.
The Nigerian international is jetting off for the African Cup of Nations, much to the dismay of Trotters boss Sam Allardyce, and the Bolton chief will be less than impressed to learn his star man has emerged as a transfer target for Stuttgart.
Magath would love to add to his squad during the winter transfer window, and tried to sign Rapid Vienna's talented German playmaker Steffen Hofmann.
Talks with Hofmann have stalled in the past weeks as the 23-year-old seems willing to stay in Austria for the meantime and Magath is now believed to have turned his attention elsewhere, with Okocha and Auxerre star Olivier Kapo likely candidates.
The much-travelled Bolton star, who will be a free agent next summer, left his home country for German outfit Borussia Neunkirchen and later had a highly successful spell with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Swabians might struggle to fulfil Okocha's wage demands after handing lucrative long-term deals to shooting-stars Andreas Hinkel and Kevin Kuranyi, but Magath might hope that the prospect of competing for glory in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League will lure Okocha back to Germany.
Allardyce will fight tooth-and-nail to keep Okocha at The Reebok Stadium and although a departure looks highly unlikely at present, the African may decide he wants to play in European competition towards the end of his career.
Kapo could be Magath's best bet as he would be allowed to leave Auxerre for the right price, and it may depend on how much he wants Okocha in his squad
Lonestarr022 17-01-2004, 12:37:PM Why would he leave englan for Fener, that doesnt seem liek a move that makes your career go forward. IMO
