Well it's been a while since I've made any real artwork of any form. The last stuff I really did was photography work for school and haven't really been motivated to do anything on Photoshop. Well my friend has been doing something similar to this and I decided I would have a go at it since I've never really done anything like this before.

Anyway the picture on the right I have totally created from scratch. It's not much so far but expect to see a lot more work on it in the next few days. I've used the brush tool and the line tool for some parts. Even though there's not much in the picture so far, I'm really surprised at how real it looks already. I'm really happy with the lights in the top left corner.

So here is my work in progress. I'm not sure if I should post updates every once in a while or just show you the finished image when I'm done.

No hes not editing, hes taken the picture from the right and is creating the pic himself from scratch. So hes copying from a pic and making a new one

I've tried to draw stuff from scratch in the past, it's a bitch :ewan:

This is something I played around with in my Comp GFX class for about an hour-hour n a half. But then when I actually had to go into more detail with the fur and the head and ****e I couldn't be assed anymore :( I actually gave up on it while doing the stones :p

Bottom line: Airbrushing in PS is amazingly hard :D

I've finished!!! I'm really surprised at how well it turned out since it's my first try at doing this sort of art and it only took 2 days to complete. :)

Anyway here it is (mine is on the right). And feel free to post any comments on the final piece.

I know this is old but there was one last update which I forgot to post here. There were a few little changes to his face and last time I forgot to put in his thumb behind the guitar but that's there now.
So this is the proper final version.

Awesome! Just a little suggestion though. Try sharpening some areas of the image (like the sweater) to bring out the texture a little more...I know I'm just nitpicking:p
