When i try to start the fifa2000 program the screen goes black and then throws me back in win95 , is it a prob. with directx ? what directx does fifa use ? ( I have a freinds copied cd and it does not have directx for fifa on it ) i have a voodoo2 , 64mb ram , pIII 450. Thanks for your time.

the problem seems to lie with pentium 3s and win95. i have had the same problem since upgrading from a celeron 300 to p3 600e. previously there were no probs. had the same problem with battlezone 2 but activision came up with a simple fix of entering MMX = 1 into the config file. pity easports aren't as organised! until something is done then the only solution i can think of is upgrading to win 98se. this worked for me .
if anyone else has solved this some other way let me know.

The same thing happened to me, install directx 7 and the game wouldn´t freeze.

I had a similar problem but the black screen never went away my system just froze. I sent fifa back to the shop it came from and now I have upgraded my PC to a PIII 550 the demo worked and I bought the game again.

Again Upgrade seems the only solution
