As u'll no, i make faces for fifa, but one thing i really struggle with, is making textures :(

Has anyone got any tips for making textures? I really do suck :(

Well, there was a Face Making tutorial for FIFA 2001 or 2002 I think. Shlomy Sharabanni made it. You can find it at downloads.soccergaming.com. Search for it.
It's not for the FIFA 2004 faces, but it really gives you a nice idea of how to make great faces texture. Try it.

Is that the one that tells you to cut it out bit by bit and paste it on resize it...... etc.

I tried that method and it didnt look too good on most faces:(

I knew there were 2, one for FIFA 2001 and the other for FIFA 2002..... perhaps there's another one for FIFA 2003, but you'll have to search for it yourself, hehe.

Yeah it is.
But take into account that once you've cut the part, pasted it onto the face texture template and resized it so that it fits, you need to smudge everything a bit so that it won't look like you just pasted it, and so that you won't see where each part you pasted finishes.
Try it.
Also use some shadows (use the burn and dodge tools to make some shadows and lighting effects).

its all about practice! just spend some time messing with different tools and different techniques and u will find a way!
