What is the green bar next to the blue bar in the player bio screen in Career mode. I gather that the blue bar is representative of the stat value, but I've got no idea for the green bar.

it's to show the progress of the player in individual training;)

So higher the green bar means the less that stat can increase? or does the higher the green bar mean that he'll get better faster?

The more it increases, the better he is :)

BINGO, but it takes a while for a big difference :S

So do you want it to start high or start low?

the higher it is, the better he is. Then once at the top, it will go back down and start again and the player will have better skills in that specific department

Has anyone's seen how long does the bar take to reach highest capacity??(for a general palyer like Alan Smith)

it's the same for all players, about 9-12 matches (not sure). but if you wanna increase the overall skill level, you have to target the attributes necessary to that postion.
example:

CF-train shooting, sprints
CB-train tackling
RWM/LWM-sprints, passing

and so on and so on........

Do certain players increase faster? If so, how can you tell?

My guess would be certain players do increase faster cos I've seen it happened and still happening on my team.

I bought Kallon from Inter for like 3.4million with total skills of 76 I believe.

After one season, he's officially worth 6.9million and with skills of 82. His other attributes(shooting power, sht. accurrency, heading and sprinting) have change a lot.

My other striker hasn't improved, i can't seem to notice.
