View Full Version : Juve 68; Lazio 66 !!!
Zambrotta 30-04-2000, 04:01:PM Verona is playing some serious soccer lately, check out Brocchi, Italy's next Roberto Donadoni.
Juve-Parma
Bologna-Lazio
Perugia-Juve
Lazio-Reggina
Should be close, I don't think either team will win their last 2 matches. It will ALL go down to who will lose at least 1 game...
PolishPower 30-04-2000, 08:00:PM My prediction(I hope this happens, please!) is it will end with both teams at 70 points. Juve will draw 2, and Lazio 1 win and 1 draw. This will set up the match of the century, Juve vs. Lazio in a winner take all match(what is the procedure? is it neutral stadium or flip of coin to determine home team?) I hope they play in Napoli.
Btw, I got to see Bari-Roma0-0 and it was a pretty good match at times, but a bit boring as well. The best player was Cassano of course, and the Bari defender who made like 3 last second tackles, he was stopping DelVecchio all day, his name has made an exit from my mind!
Zambrotta 30-04-2000, 08:57:PM Cassano could be the real deal. This "boy" is barely 18!!! And he is not speed or power, as some other young phenomena, he is 100% pure class and intelligence out there, same as Pirlo.
These 2 guys should make Italy's future very bright. I only hope that Bari will remain in the Serie A, as I'd love Cassano to remain there for at least 2 other years. If the go to the Serie B I think he'll leave for a big club and warm the bench.
By the way, Fascetti is some idiot: He kept Spinesi out, currently Italy's best Under 21 forward. Did you see his 1st goal against CZR wednesday? It's on Raisport, go check it out!
Zambrotta 30-04-2000, 09:00:PM Hey Polish Power:
If it came to that match of the new millenium (I don't know the rules, wouldn't the direct meetings decide?), they should play at Rome, Piazza San Pietro! One goal should be the entrance to St.Peter's, the other the entrance to the square. The Ref should be Woityla himeself!
Amen!
antithesis 30-04-2000, 09:59:PM Wasn't it thought that Italy would have a bright future with a mature Baggio? Then was it not supposed to be Inzhagi, DiBiagio, Buffon, etc. Haha! Italy has no bright future! Most of the players are overpaid and public relations creations. Now I read you are raving about another teen sensation. Remember Lentini? All fans of the azzuri out to adopt a wait and see approach.
Zambrotta 30-04-2000, 11:11:PM Yeah, sure...
As if Baggio did nothing for Italy. And as if a certain 22 year old goalie was not only the best of his class, but the best in the world.
And for Lentini I may remember you that he crashed his car at 100 mph, so this guy is lucky to be alive.
I was always upfront when it came to cirtisize Italy, because they have huge potential (second only to Brazil) and because they...are Italy.
England and Germany both sucked over the last years, but no one gives a rat's ass, as it is no news. But people always expect the most out of Italy, maybe because of jealousy, maybe because of the fact that they are 3 times World Champions and 2 times runners up.
And if your team's best forward of the last 25 years (read: Vieri is Italy's best striker since Riva), I'd like to hear some excuses...
Kewell the Jewell 01-05-2000, 03:42:AM maybe cause the fans dont bloody shutup about them......
Kewell the Jewell 01-05-2000, 03:43:AM ...Germany did win Euro 96......
Del Piero - Zidane 01-05-2000, 06:27:AM Holy **** ! We've seen Verona tie Milan beat Lazio and beat Juve.... I forgot did they beat Inter? Juve should of tooken the game more serious they played like ****!!!
Camaratta... What a player... we've seen him score beautiful goals against other big teams I think he could be one of the big stars of the future for Italy.... And a player like Morfeo... How stupid can Fiorentina be to give him to Milan... Then Milan is just as stupid for selling him to Cagliari... Then Cagliari made the biggest mistake by selling him to Verona and now Cagliari is already in Serie B ..... I hope Juve kicks the **** out of Parma and Perugia.... Now that Juve lost and Lazio won... Juve have to play strong till the end of the season bacasue Im sure Lazio will win next week... If Juve does (and they are playen at home so I think they should) win.... Then they better play their hearts out at Perugia.... Anyone see Lazio's last goal? Or maybe it wasnt Im not sure but it was right over the goalies hand and it seemed as if the Goalie let it go in.... There is big controversary there but Im sure they wont even talk about because all they talk about on the Domenica Sportiva is what happened in the Juve game... Juve this Juve that.... All of the penaltys awarded to Juve were all agreed that they were PK's.. And they talk about it for the whole goddamn program? If there is a little bit of a controversial call against Inter, Milan ( Milan especially ) Lazio , Fiorentina or Parma they only talk about it for a second..... But Juve played their Lousiest game ever since the Lecce game which they lost also 2-0.... The Game against Celta Vigo was also lousy but they were in a different situation and they were playing for the UEFA cup.... Well Lets hope Juve starts taking these last games seriously....
Juve! Juve! JUVE!!!
PolishPower 01-05-2000, 06:30:AM Zambrotta:
I remember reading last year that if teams are tied on points, it goes into a one-game play-off, and I think it happened one time in the past but can't remember the teams or year, it was sometime in the 70s, maybe Napoli-Juventus? Anyway I'm sure one of the papers will bring this up in the coming weeks.
Oh by the way I watched those goals by Spinesi and yeah it was a nice volley!
Zambrotta 01-05-2000, 07:38:AM Yeah they won, but the robbed any team they encountered. Eilts their best man - this says all.
juvegoose 01-05-2000, 12:04:PM its not looking good fellow Juve fans....lets hope they can stay on track and finish this off.
Forza Juve!!!
p.s i knew those dropped points at lecce, reggina, bari, parma e.t.c from the first half of the season would come back to haunt Juve....hopefully they still have something in reserve for the Parma game
