Why dont the AI players on the users team try to get the ball on their own? The only way to gain possession is to get it on my own. I don't mind playing the game, and although I know little about the actuall game of soccer, I was under the impression that it is a team sport. Am I wrong in thinking that FIFA 2004 should reflect that?:f***:

Aye, this has been a problem that has plagued the EA Sports line of games for years. I guess EA wants you, the gamer, to experience everything on the pitch, but I don't really like being a one-man army and I wish there was an option. In FIFA 2002 you could press Control and your team would jumpstart to life and start aggressively tackling, in FIFA 2003 you could hold the conservative tackle and your defender would home in on the AI, but in 2004 it sucks because in a fast-paced attack you have to switch to the nearest player and perform a perfect timed tackle. Sounds like fun but not if you have to do it 20+ times in an even match. 2002 was the best.

If you have PS2 you can use R2 button so the closest defender tries to take the ball from the offense. (I don't know the button for the PC)

does anyone know if there is a patch that makes user AI players more agressive and actually tackle on their own?
