I agree with you about the pitch resize, heck I'd like to have a patch for pitch resize for an indoor soccer field that I'd like them to build...

I certainly do care & I will continue buying FIFA series games, but not until they start including an indoor soccer arena in it, of course...right now, I have FIFA '98 through 2002, but neglected to buy FIFA 2003 & 2004...

That's nice, I DISAGREE!!! I'm an indoor fan, indoor soccer is as cool as outdoor soccer...I like both versions, though, but if we compare American indoor soccer to futsal, American indoor soccer is better...

Indoor soccer arena would be a nice addition, but there are some more important improvement needed in the game.... so that's secundary stuff..... well, maybe not for you, but for most gamers...

I love soccer video games but it has to be one of the SLOWEST and BORING sports to watch (both indoor and outdoor).

BUT I admire those who play it and the soccer culture, its not an easy game to play and you die hard fans really get into it. :Bow: Maybe its an aquired taste.

As a yank, I require the fast paced hard hitting action football (american football!), hockey, and rugby supplies. Actually "Foothockey" doesn't sound like a bad idea.

As to the subject at hand: : EA would be wise to give a pitch size option with unlockable small fields. I once saw an adidas commercial with a caged match in the hull of a ship, kind of an underground 3 man leauge. (Has anyone ever seen it?) That looks like it would be a fun option for FIFA 200X games.

I like that too, it's definitely fun to watch, it's quite fast paced, it's American indoor soccer(some could also call it foot-hockey), just go to www.misl.net & check out the teams, feel free to join it's forum www.misl.net/forum

I like hockey & football also...but the last few years I've gotten into liking American indoor soccer, the newest MISL is awesome...

I'm in full support of having a smaller size soccer field, but I prefer it being on a hockey rink, using an astroturf rug instead of ice or floor surface...

Soccer is the SLOWEST and most BORING u definetely are out of your mind.

That's very cool, will that indoor patch for an indoor stadium have graphics from NHL series ice rink, boards, walls & glass details in it, eventually...I would love that, just change the ice texture to an astroturf looking surface, with a 3 point arc on both sides...

Great, another one of these idiots so here we have to go again with the history lesson:

The word soccer came from "asSOCiation football" as opposed to "rugby football". The English FA were the ones who tried to get everybody to adopt the word "soccer" to differentiate regular football from rugby football. Then, they abandoned the idea. However, the British coaches who went over to set set up the USSF in the states and the coaching clinics used the word "soccer" which the Americans adopted.

In Germany they call it something different as they do in many other countries. Can you not understand that it is the same sport regardless of whether you call it "football" or "ignashimi" or "kashnahm". Different countries use different words for it.

The fact you are hung up on what people call it rather than the actual game itself proves two things:

(1) you don't actually have a clue about the sport otherwise you'd discuss that in terms of it's lack or reflected realism within FIFA or not depending upon your point of view.
(2) you'd realize that just as all English people don't murder people and hide them under the stairs like Fred West, that all American's who like soccer aren't into indoor soccer, not all Brazilians are world class at soccer, not all Japanese are computer programmers!

It's not an explanation, it's the HISTORY of the word - learn the difference. I'm not stating my opinion on the word but the fact on it's origins. You really don't actually know anything do you?

The name originated in ENGLAND - go do some research!

The first recorded use of the term was an English student at Oxford in 1863 and the name spread through the public schools.

Oh, while you're at it, go and look up what they call "football" in Ireland (not Northern Ireland).

Began yes, but altered by others (both good and bad). Somebody didn't like the 'IDEA' of the suggested patch, so, instead of leaving it at that, he started insulting countries and thier citizens. I responded to his insult. I'd do it again.
