Luis Ah-Hoy 26-01-2004, 10:58:PM You can't..... And EA doesn't care if the pitch is too small, as long as people continue to buy the game..... Daz 26-01-2004, 11:13:PM The size of the pitch is fine.... CForceForever 26-01-2004, 11:34:PM Originally posted by Kuciapa Where I can resize the pitch. Daz 27-01-2004, 04:06:AM Originally posted by jobo lol!, who said the pitch is too small??, m8 have u ever actually played on a full size pitch? so true, the pitches on fifa are OUTDOOR pitches, because the game is an OUTDOOR game, indoors is INFERIOR! CForceForever 27-01-2004, 06:19:AM Originally posted by Dazmania so true, the pitches on fifa are OUTDOOR pitches, because the game is an OUTDOOR game, indoors is INFERIOR! That's nice, I DISAGREE!!! I'm an indoor fan, indoor soccer is as cool as outdoor soccer...I like both versions, though, but if we compare American indoor soccer to futsal, American indoor soccer is better... It's nice that you care, but actually I was talking about EA caring, not you.... Indoor soccer arena would be a nice addition, but there are some more important improvement needed in the game.... so that's secundary stuff..... well, maybe not for you, but for most gamers... I love soccer video games but it has to be one of the SLOWEST and BORING sports to watch (both indoor and outdoor). BUT I admire those who play it and the soccer culture, its not an easy game to play and you die hard fans really get into it. Maybe its an aquired taste. As a yank, I require the fast paced hard hitting action football (american football!), hockey, and rugby supplies. Actually "Foothockey" doesn't sound like a bad idea. As to the subject at hand: : EA would be wise to give a pitch size option with unlockable small fields. I once saw an adidas commercial with a caged match in the hull of a ship, kind of an underground 3 man leauge. (Has anyone ever seen it?) That looks like it would be a fun option for FIFA 200X games. I'm in full support of having a smaller size soccer field, but I prefer it being on a hockey rink, using an astroturf rug instead of ice or floor surface... hunttherock 27-01-2004, 11:06:PM Soccer is the SLOWEST and most BORING u definetely are out of your mind. I thought it was SOCCERgaming.com. I am an American afterall and I relize that it's known as football everywhere else. BUT, I would hope you show some sort of decency or coutesty. I wouldn't rip on your country of orgin over a friendly discussion. I'm just expressing an opinion that you can take or disregard. Freedom of expression man, An ideal us "U.S.A.iens" pioneered. And you obviously didn't read about how I admire SOCCER players and SOCCER fans. But I think the soccer atmospher is more exciting than the game itself. Let me put it this way: A sport that can end in a score of 0-0 is not what I call the most riveting thing in the world. I'm curious to hear CIVIL comments. Luis Ah-Hoy 28-01-2004, 06:13:AM Don't like it, don't play it..... The soccer world doesn't need reinforcements..... soccer has enough adherence already..... - "....not what I call the most riveting thing in the world." yeah, but it doesn't need to be.... it's the Sport's King anyway, and will always be.... thats the fact !!!! Louis S 28-01-2004, 06:44:AM You guys need to stop getting so upset. What? Are you willing to throw blows over it? Common! Just because someone doesn't agrees with you is no reason to become angry. Besides, I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. I ADMIRE soccer players and soccer fans (thats not sarcasm). Stop being so contrary. I enjoy this disscussion and I engage in it with my many soccer loving friends but I don't think they ever became as offended as some people here are. I love Baseball and have played it since before I could lift a ball. Go Ahead, Take Your shots. I wont get mad because its just a game. Hell, when I go to England during my vacation either this or next year I plan on attending a Manchester United game. You dont have to love a game to admire it. Try broadening your horizons. Terminator X 31-01-2004, 02:04:AM OMG, please stop calling it soccer! why do you U.S.A.iens have to call it that? there isn't even another decent sport called football as american football is sh!t! Daz 31-01-2004, 02:22:AM Well said Terminator X! :D ;) TristanAbbott7 31-01-2004, 02:25:AM Originally posted by Terminator X OMG, please stop calling it soccer! why do you U.S.A.iens have to call it that? there isn't even another decent sport called football as american football is sh!t! Great, another one of these idiots so here we have to go again with the history lesson: The word soccer came from "asSOCiation football" as opposed to "rugby football". The English FA were the ones who tried to get everybody to adopt the word "soccer" to differentiate regular football from rugby football. Then, they abandoned the idea. However, the British coaches who went over to set set up the USSF in the states and the coaching clinics used the word "soccer" which the Americans adopted. In Germany they call it something different as they do in many other countries. Can you not understand that it is the same sport regardless of whether you call it "football" or "ignashimi" or "kashnahm". Different countries use different words for it. The fact you are hung up on what people call it rather than the actual game itself proves two things: (1) you don't actually have a clue about the sport otherwise you'd discuss that in terms of it's lack or reflected realism within FIFA or not depending upon your point of view. (2) you'd realize that just as all English people don't murder people and hide them under the stairs like Fred West, that all American's who like soccer aren't into indoor soccer, not all Brazilians are world class at soccer, not all Japanese are computer programmers! You've proved with your own comments that the only ignorant mother lover on here is you because you don't know $h1t, contribute $h1t and probably that deludes to the fact that you are indeed, $h1t! But then, like the average person who comes up with this bollocks from time to time, you're only 14 and think you know everything there is to know. Pity, one day you'll grow up and see that perhaps there is a world outside of your pretend "pimpin' it" lifestyle. (From your own profile!) And Saha, agreeing with the argument of an idiot just puts you further down the evolutionary ladder. A general rule for copying to succeed is "don't copy an idiot"! (And what a freaking surprise, you're 14 too!) Daz 31-01-2004, 02:47:AM Originally posted by TristanAbbott7 The word soccer came from "aSOCCiation football" :funny: HEHEH, assocation!!! heheh thats pronounced ah-so-see-ay-shun, not SOCC, what a LAME explanation! , well we call it foot-ball, because you kick the ball with your foot :crazyboy: :funny: TristanAbbott7 31-01-2004, 02:51:AM Originally posted by Dazmania :funny: HEHEH, assocation!!! heheh thats pronounced ah-so-see-ay-shun :funny: Oh my goodness, are you that thick? The first recorded use of the term was an English student at Oxford in 1863 and the name spread through the public schools. Oh, while you're at it, go and look up what they call "football" in Ireland (not Northern Ireland). Secondly, you know as well as anybody else reading this that all it will prove if you do look it up is that you've been wrong along with Terminator X. And as for a stupid argument, don't go insulting people from different coutries out of your own ignorance otherwise people will call you out on it. Maybe you think they do but here in England 40% of the population don't think they've been abducted by aliens. (don't bother trying to prove me wrong on that fact, it's from a very reliable source). Let's be honest, on your own profile you claim to be "pimping" - I mean, how freaking immature are you? You've already shown your ignorance on here about the sport without adding to it by making crazy claims like 4 out of 10 Americans think they are alien abductees. As for the Mars rovers, they are taking dust and rock samples to look for proof of whether the soil is, or ever was, capable of sustaining bacterial life. And you know for a fact that doesn't exist do you? They aren't looking for aliens you dork! How about you watch the news rather than Jerry Springer? I'm glad you're not representative of Europe or the average 14 year old from England or else Europe really would be in deep $hit if you were the future of the youth there. Thankfully you're a zit on the landscape that will one day be too stupid to look both ways before crossing the road and Europe will be better off. Oh, and rather than jerking yourself off over your big sister's school friends (and I'm not necessarily referring to the female ones), maybe you ought to take a look at the rising gun crime figures in your own country where they're not even legal! But of course, that would mean having knowledge, something that you've proved you're 99.5% devoid of. I still think it's a miracle that you managed to get past the registration process for these forums. And Barney? what about the freaking Teletubbies?
