View Full Version : Posting Last Year About FIFA99 That Applies To FIFA2K (Now You See EA Doesn't Listen)
TeKNoS 24-03-2000, 07:43:PM I KNOW FIFA99 IS GETTING PRETTY OLD, BUT I TURNED IT BACK ON TODAY AND PLAYED AGAIN.
IT WAS THE SAME OLD BULLSH*T.THE COMPUTER JUST TAKING THE BALL AWAY WHILE I WAS RECEIVING IT IN THE AIR. ALWAYS BEHIND ME IN THE BOX. SCORING CHEAP GOALS BECAUSE MY DEFENSE DOESN'T GO TO THE BALL. USING FEINTS TO GET PAST MY PLAYERS; SOMETHING I CAN'T ALWAYS DO WITHOUT GETTING KNOCKED DOWN.WHACKING MY PLAYERS AS I PUT IN A THROUGH BALL AND TRYING TO SCORE A GOAL, BUT KILLING ME BEFORE I CAN EVEN TAP THE BALL.NEVER BEING ABLE TO SCORE A REALISTIC GOAL FROM FAR AWAY, LIKE WHAT HAPPENS IN REAL MATCHES.THE BEST GOALS IN THE WORLD CUP WERE FROM AFAR, OR AT LEAST OUT OF THE BOX. ALL THE SUPERGOALIES IN FIFA99 HAVE TO DO IS STICK THEIR HANDS OUT.THAT IS SO F***ING BORING !!!!!!!
I CAN'T STAND THAT. ALSO, I WAS TAKING A LOOK AT MY PLAYER'S STATS FROM MEXICO, MY NATIONAL TEAM.ALL BUT THREE WERE BAD PLAYERS.HORRIBLE. BUT THEN I HAVE TO SEE TEAMS LIKE BRASIL, ARGENTINA AND ITALY THAT HAVE GREAT STATS.MEXICO WAS DEEMED AS ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING TEAMS OF THE WORLD CUP, AND EA HAD TO **** THAT UP. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GIVEN US OUR LEAGUE IN FIFA2000, BUT THEY INCORPORATE LITTLE LEAGUES LIKE PORTUGAL AND IMAGINARY LEAGUES LIKE THE U.S. ONE WITHOUT HESITATING.
I HATE THIS.I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT TO SHELL OUT THE 60 BUCKS FOR FIFA2000 OR NOT. I HATE PLAYING WHEN I'M FRUSTRATED; IT'S NO FUN THAT WAY, AND FOOTBALL IS SOMETHING THAT I VALUE AND APPRECIATE. EA MAKES IT SEEM SOMTEHING EVIL.
I JUST WANT EVRYBODY TO KNOW THAT THIS IS WHAT I THINK, AND I'M NOT WHINING (I SCORE 4 GOALS AVERAGE PER GAME ON WORLD CLASS, BUT I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ANY SHARES MY THOUGHTS). THANKS. E-MAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY.

we've been saying that for 2 years now, just play iss evolution and u'll be happy!
PolishPower 25-03-2000, 06:23:AM As far as Mexico, that was the most awful job EA ever did did with rankings in FIFA 2000(that I am aware of...), I suggest that if you play Mexico in that game you bump up everyone's stats by one point.
HNAFC 25-03-2000, 11:02:AM 60 BUCKS FOR FIFA2K!!! MAN, THAT'S EXPENSIVE!
It's only 20 bucks here, now(I think).
I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN BOUT FIFA2K AS I GOT IT FOR 25p.
TeKNoS 26-03-2000, 09:26:PM Yeah I know Polish Power. I just wish I didn't have to do that you know ?
We have good players and some of our best are now playing in Europe. I know that EA cannot look at every country, but those that deserve merit should be given it.
I have decided to stop buying EA products though. I bought MS International Soccer 2000, and even though some of the stuff in it is cheesy, It's much more realistic and fun than FIFA2000.
Also, I've heard that International Superstar Soccer Evolution is pretty good too, so I just might get that. Thanks and let's hope that one day EA will do better.

PolishPower 27-03-2000, 07:02:AM Here is something- I tried to simulate the Confederation cup 99, and had Mexico finishing last in their group, losing to Egypt and Saudi Arabia! Mexico is probably the lowest ranked of any team that made the World Cup, it is an insult, almost like someone at EA hates Mexico or something. I won't buy the next game before I get a chance to test it out for sure.
I heard that This is Football by Sony is also good, but is not available in USA as far as I know.
By the way, when I simulated the World Cup in EA's World Cup 98, Mexico won it all! so go figure...
Various Styles 27-03-2000, 08:39:AM TeKnos:"Some of our best players are now playing in Europe" ??? the only Mexican player in Europe is Raphael Marquez (Monaco) thats it, no more, no less !!! Here are some posibilities for more players next year. 1."PSG" wanted to buy Cuahtemoc Blanco but Club America said "not untill next year". 2.Monaco had expressed interest in Atlas players, Rodriguez #10 and Osorno #11 there is also talks of Monaco selling Raphael Marquz to Inter Milan or Real Madrid if the sell goes through and the above players perform well in the upcomming Olympics then they should have no problenm going abroad. 3.Luis Hernandez when his contract at Tigres UNL is up next year,he is said to be wanted by some German Sides...
TeKNoS 27-03-2000, 08:55:AM Various Styles:
Don't ruin my topic. You didn't like it when I ruined yours, so I made another one for you. I'm not here to fight about players.
Even if our best players are not playing in Europe now, we have had great ones in the past. Hugo Sanchez played with multiple teams in Europe, especially Real Madrid. When someone from YOUR country wins 5 pichichis, then come back and talk. Luis Garcia also played for Atletico Madrid. De Olmo also played for a European Side. And of course Rafa Marquez.
Anyway, I'm not here to fight about players. Frankly, I think you should get out more and stop watching so much TV. By the way, your spelling is horrendous. Learn to spell when you argue.
Until Later,

Various Styles 28-03-2000, 03:39:AM TeKnos you ruined Various Styles topic by starting fights with other members and going off-Topic... No one is fighting about players it is only your insecurity that blinds you from the truth... The truth beign that at the moment only one Mexican is in Europe and not many as you mentioned. So now you say that "in the past" but that was only to cover up your mistake so admitt it, instead of trying to insult VS by saying that he watches too much t.v... Various Styles was only givin his two cents and doesnt have time to start any "flame wars"... give it up teknos your innocent by-standard gimmick doesnt work any more its old and tiresom.
TeKNoS 28-03-2000, 03:53:AM No Various Styles
You were trying to underrate Mexican players by pointing that out. I admit that we do not have many players in Europe but we have had great ones in the past.
You DID start a flame war purposely. And I am NOT innocent and never said I was. That's what I am here for. To speak my mind and if I want to rat out people I will. You have done the same. So you should be the one to stop pretending.
You are always underrating my country's players and I am sick of it. Ever since the Zague and Hermosillo arguments to this, you have shown your remorse for Mexican football.
Enough

Various Styles 28-03-2000, 07:00:AM TeKnos: Various Styles will break it down... Zaguinho was at one time Mexicos best striker and his greatest moment was in Copa America 93 where with his goals helped Mexico obtain an unprecedented 2nd place. But that was 7 years ago and you mentioned that he helped Mexico qualify for WC 98 wich was totaly wrong since Mexicos strikers during the last round of qualifiers was Luis-Cuahtemoc with Abundis and Palencia in the bench... along with Zague you said Hermosillo was another of Mexicos key to qualifying... Various Styles then said that Hermosillo was a very good striker in the FMF federation Mexicana de Futbol, but not with the national side were he went unoticed in WC94 and did poorly in first round of WC98 qualifiers thus his last appearance was in the last round of qualifiers vs the U.S only because one striker was suspeded and the other was out on injry... all in all "Various" never underated these players he only pointed out were once again Teknos was mis-informed, on wich was the Mexican team that qualified with out losing a match and in case you forgot here they go #1 Gk Adolpho Rios. #2 Claudio Suarez. #3 joel "el tiburon" Sanchez. #4 Markus Lopez . #5 Dulio Davino. #6 Alberto Coyote. #7 Ramon Ramrez. #13 Pavel Pardo. #15 Luis Hernandez. #10 Cuahtemoc Blanco. the bench players were #17 Benjamin Galindo. #14 Joaquin Del Olmo. #22 Abundis. #8 Nicolas Ramirez. #16 Palencia. #18 Grabiel De Anda. #9 Tilon Chavez.. the third string players were #11 Damian Alvarez. #20 rafa "Chiquis" Garcia. #21 Jared Bourguetti. #19 Manolo Sol... This was team that Bora was using and because of Media pressure and constant T.V criisim Bora was forced to bring back WC 94 veterans Campos, Zague, Hermosillo,Garcia Aspe and Pelaez with this team Mexico lost to Slovenia U-21 team and was destroyedby Brazil 4-0 in a game that could have ended 9-0, these ofcourse were friendlies then Bora took his "original" squad to Copa America 97 and had a 3rd place finish and qualified the team to WC98 undefeated but because of political reasons he was fired and players that were not going to go to WC 98 were brought back i.e Campos, Aspe, Luis Garcia, German Villa, Raul Lara, Conejo Perez, Braluio Luna and Pelaez... coincidentaly most of these players belong to Club America and Necaxa wich presidents are also the head comitte members of the Mexican National Teams... Teknos get your facts straight, then come back and argue. Dont just make pointless acusations !!!
PolishPower 28-03-2000, 08:14:AM Teknos:
Various just said you made a mistake and you go and insult him I think that is wrong. I too thought, humm "who are these Mexicans in Europe Teknos is talking about, cause Rafa Marquez at Monaco was the only one I am aware of."
I also think Various is the Dean of Mexican Football at the FIFA 2000 Forum, as proven by the big knowledge he is throwing around in the previous post.
