View Full Version : When r we gonna have a challenge?
manufan 01-02-2004, 07:04:AM Hey guys, a lot of other CM sites around have regular CM challenges, so why not us? We used to have a nice one but those forums are as dead as a doornail(???). Hows about we use this thread to come up with possible leagues and/or clubs to take over and bring glory to?!:D Then maybe the mods can decide in the end.
Please guys, no Machester Uniteds, or Real Madrids, it's called a challenge for a reason.
I was thinking about some club in South Africa, or maybe one somewhere deep in Eastern Europe?
PSVFOREVER 01-02-2004, 07:08:AM yeah, i agree. time for a challenge. I would like a challenge in Argentina:p with a small team.
ah god this thread should have been thought through before being posted... god.... why god.. why.
Yeah its a great idea!? lets all do a challenge! yay! because there isnt already a forum dedicated to this is there!!!!

I cant fathom out how the hell do you qualify for the Copa Libertadores, I took Division 2 Club Argentinos Juniors to Championship glory in Division 1 and didnt qualify.
:(
I'm currently playing as Kashima Antlers in J-League.
Is there a challenge on ATM? I was not informed.:D

Not that I know of, would be great though, loads of us played as Fiorentina back in CM4, it was fantastic.

Ebonix 01-02-2004, 08:00:AM Previous experiences with Challenges were poor. The best one we had was Union Berlin on CM01-02. We had like 5 people go for about 5 years + and another few who kinda tailed off after one season.
It might be worth a try.
Zlatan 01-02-2004, 04:47:PM Mayb I'm going to enter such challenge too, but.... not now I'm currently very addicted to my Marseille game and I want them to be champions and win the champions league this season. After that I'm happy to join you.
PSVFOREVER 01-02-2004, 08:54:PM First we need a team though. Maybe some small team in the hungarian league. Or Norway?
im very happy for you all to do this and i will help all i can, but as Liam says, they simply dont work, 2 people end up doing it for a bit and no-once else does, the last one completly died of death.
By the way this forum needs renaming, to CM Challenge, Calumns idea of a quartley one was..... no is..... dead.

Guarani F.C. on Brazilian league. Good youngsters, period. The rest just stinks, poor finances, poor attendance (avg. of 4K to 5K on the game, 2K to 3K IRL). The challenge could be to take them to Libertadores, and win it preferably. It's the team i support too here in Brazil, just a suggestion.
I'd say start a challenge in Europe. In France, portugal or greece (5th, 6th and 7th in UEFA rankings)
flamehawk 02-02-2004, 10:48:PM I am interested, will join if a competition gets started
Ebonix 03-02-2004, 10:04:PM We might as well give it a go Tom. I mean what do we have too lose? I'll talk too ya on MSN in a few days and we can descifer something on their. ;)
shokz 04-02-2004, 09:49:AM I'll join if we're going to do it, if anyone wants my MSN just pm me.
time for meh cat nap now, cheerio. :ewan:
PSVFOREVER 05-02-2004, 03:44:AM Yeah, I'm prepared to help, if it's wanted you can add me to MSN to ( codyhochstenbach@msn.com ) ;)
yawn, dyingofdeath.

Do Juve or Skeid in Norway, BRAATHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Juve? I dont think that Juve would be so much of a challenge. As for Skeid..:rockman: :hump:
well that WOULD make a change, we always do small clubs, what about a big bugger?
TROD.
Well, maybe, but Juve would be less challenging than a small club.
rpvankasteren 13-02-2004, 07:49:AM You want something challenging? Go for the Indian league. Become Asian club champs asap.
Possibly Brazil you know, heaps of great "promising youths" would be good for any Brazilian side. I SAY BRAZILIAN TEAM, definitely my choice, too bad I decided this as I clicked Europe.
flamehawk 13-02-2004, 07:01:PM Nah wouldn't like Juve. Would be cool to manage a small team in say France or Germany.
Knight Saber 13-02-2004, 07:27:PM How about for a short challenge, Champions League with sunderland in 3 seasons (just to please a mate ;))
Frostwolf 13-02-2004, 07:33:PM I know one. Take the Carolina Panthers to Superbowl glory.
flamehawk 13-02-2004, 07:48:PM How bout managing a 2nd division Chinese team?
PSVFOREVER 14-02-2004, 01:02:AM I think it is time to decide a team :ewan: (and rules) It'll be a european team as it looks now:o
#1 Stunna 16-02-2004, 07:58:AM i'd like to see you guys manage a Mexican League team. (Y) (H)

TottiNZidaneR#1 06-03-2004, 08:56:PM Im up for a challange:rockman:
M4NNY 19-03-2004, 01:41:AM Yeh, i'm up for a challenge. I think that we should get one set up, i mean, what do we have to lose. Even if two people finish it, it would still have been worth it.
How about a second div. team from South America.
First man to win the Copa LIbertadores etc.?
Get back to me with your thoughts.
Kulixs 19-03-2004, 02:14:AM i say a small Brasilian team, and to win the copa Libertadores, whoever is setting it up, contact me on msn at Kulixs@hotmail.com
