ok i keep having a recurring problem with bigGUI, whenever i import and compress face files, the prog sometimes messes up the .big file and decompresses other stuff, and this makes my game crash back to desktop, the only thing i can do to fix it is to replace the .big file with the the one from the cd, does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? because everytime it messes it up i hav to re install all my downloaded faces.

I had this problem too, but then FP23 (he had also the same problem)told me to use .bat -files to import faces. And now everything works fine, no problems with corrupted or non-compressed files anymore!

I had that problem too but it works fine since I use EAGraph to import the files and then bigGui only to compress them...

how do you use .bat files to import files into the game? I'd like to try it :)

you create a bat file with notepad, but i think i found a way around it know, i just import and compress one file at a time then close it. i do this for all 3 files per face, it hasnt screwed up yet with me doing that.

i did that but i still had problems, someone please tell me how to do the .bat thingy :)

1.Open Wordpad and insert this :


impbig /i data/zdata_04.big player____model60__xxx_0_0.o player____model60__xxx_0_0.o /c
impbig /i data/zdata_04.big playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__xxx_0_0.fsh playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__xxx_0_0.fsh /c
impbig /i data/zdata_04.big playertexobj.texobj11__texture14__xxx_0.fsh playertexobj.texobj11__texture14__xxx_0.fsh /c



(replace xxx with the face number of the face)
The "/i" means import and the "/c" means compress.
2. Save it as par example: "beckham.bat" in your fifa2004 main folder.
3. You need impbig to import the files. Then the bat-file, the 3 face-files and impbig.exe should be in the fifa 2004 main folder.
Impbig imports the files, the bat-file only starts impbig and tells it to import and compress these files, so impbig is the main program, the bat only the starter.

4. double-klick on the .bat-file and wait till the files are imported.

im an idiot but i cant get this to work. when i double click the .bat file i made it just flashes and nothing happens.

nevermind i figured it out, sorry.

yes , it's very easy to build a .bat.... and its more comfortable to install faces ..... only one "click" and all files were installed... I but all the faces that found in a folder.... and made a .bat... so I can install more than 50 faces in only a few seconds ;)

i am still having problems with it uncompressing other files and crashing the game what could possibly be the problem??? could it just be corrupted face files i am putting in the game????????

did you import the faces with a .bat file? or with EA graph and bigGUI??

try a .bat and everything works fine... but dont forget /c after ....xxx_0_0.o

i did them with a .bat file and when i put them in and open zdata4 everything is compressed, but when i play and then quit and go back in later to check some random files become decompressed. then if i try to compress them it says error and closes zdata 4 and gets allscrewed up and i have to reinstall zdata4! does it matter if i have kits and boots also installed?? i installed a dicanio hair update, scott parker, saha hair update, van der sar and jose reyes most of which i got from breamster??

i put those in with .bat files and it decompressed specific face 241 which i dont know who it is.
