i think they mean boots, not ball. Ball is confirmed used Adidas Roteiro. but i hope EA can get lisence for boots, cause EA boots look bad...if the player wearing Total 90 II or Predator Mania, surely look 101% that EA boots

After Euro 2004 is over this game will be garbage. God why cant they put Euro as the main competition and put more countries in with a road to world cup and than the world cup itself. Waste of space. They will probably make a Road to World Cup 2006 where u get to qualify and than u dont even get to play th Cup itself. And a year later will make World Cup 2006 with just the teams that qualified plus dumb ass teams like Australia. EA=CACA

I'm hesitant to purchase this game when it comes out because of the gameplay. I still play my RTWC 98 and still consider it the best game they've ever produced (well fifa wise). I've only purchased one other game, that being WC 2002 and I was impressed by the visuals of the game I shelved the game after 2 or so weeks. It's been 6 years since RTWC 98 and each year 'better, improved gameplay' has been one of their selling points. Though they have improved the gameplay as the years progressed, they still haven't been long lasting games.

lol that adidas roteiro ball looks terrible. Kits as well. I think this game is exact replica of fifa2004, and just like fifa 2004, it will be much better after u install like 30 different patches into it. Better kits (2GK), better balls, and many many other gameplay things. However, if they make these things like fake shots, and ball chips, it should be a bit better then fifa 2004 i think. Also , does anybody know the LIST OF INTERNATIONAL TEAMS for this game?

i hope in EURO 2004 freekick, there have rocket shot (like roberto carlos shot) and also different style of freekick (like beckham style, giggs style), if EURO2004 just like FIFA2004, thats going to be very disappointed because in FIFA2004, there only have 1 style taking freekick and no rocket shot, this is boring....

No, you can talk about Euro 2004 in this forum until we open a Euro 2004 forum. There just isn't much to talk about Euro yet, except for what is in this one thread. No use opening a forum for one thread.

We bring you an :drevil: All New :drevil: "Chip Shot"!
And an :drevil: All New :drevil: "Fake Shot"!
:read: Oh no, we're not copying Konami!

:nape:

justhammy
18-02-2004, 06:23:PM
why copying Konami, i mean they are making a football game
and that chip shot and fake shot belongs to football and not Konami. Konami did make those things in there game first. And now EA will do it 6-7 years later. But they arent copying Konami but they make an addition to there game.
:mrpimp: :mrpimp:

Hans

What makes me laugh is they advertise those "Chip Shot" and "Fake Shot" features as if they were some kind of new high-tech stuff in gaming, while we all know that there has already been a game who implemented that some 7 years ago ( OH NO, I`M NOT GONNA GIVE THE NAME OF THE GAME, COS SOME FANBOYS WILL FLAME ME WITH THEIR IGNORANT NARROW MINDED EA`s ARSE !!!!! :crazyboy: ).

Youri Bakker

The fake shot was already in FIFA 2002 too, so I don't understand why they introduce it as something "new".

BREAKING NEWS - LATEST FEATURES IN EURO 2004!

1 - Players.
Yes, now we have soccer players in FIFA. Try and use 11 of them to team together to win our new feature "the game".
2 - Score Goals.
Now it is possible to score goals. Sometimes you can even score a different goal to the last one you scored. Maybe.
3 - Timed Games.
It's true. Your game can now last for a specified amount of time rather than indefinitely.
4 - The "high shot" and the "low shot".
Beating our competitors with a ****ty stick! Now it's possible on occasions to shoot high and on some other occasions, shoot lower. (Of course this will depend entirely on how far away you are from the goal when the initial shot was made.)
5 - The "PASS" (c)
We have copyrighted this extreme new feature and hope it won't spoil your involvement of the traditional game too much. Our concept involves moving the ball from one player to another using the foot. This can happen up to 2 or 3 times per game.
6 - Dribble.
Oh yes, at last after years of petition by our solid fanbase, we have introduced the notion of being able to move with the ball at your feet. With practice you may even be able to beat another player.
7 - Crowds.
This is an EA exclusive. In the stadiums (oh no I've given new feature number 11 away!) there will be objects closely resembling people that we at EA like to call "supporters". Nifty huh?
8 - A box.
Are we marketing geniuses or what? This year, rather than being delivered to your door wrapped up in a slab of ham, FIFA - Euro 2004 will arrive at your door in a box! And maybe a shiny box at that. (Please ignore the fact that it may look identical to the regular 2004 box with "EURO" written above it in biro.)
9 - Green grass.
Like many of you we wondered what could be done to improve our previously purple and orange fields and then we came up with the revolutionary idea to introduce green grass into the game. Now you no longer feel you are tripping on acid or need headache pills two minutes after playing.
10 - Play against an opponent!
We saved this feature introduction until last because we knew it would blow your socks off. Yes, that's right, EURO 2004 brings you the ability to play against not only the CPU but also somebody else.

EA are proud of these new cutting edge developments to the game and really feel that we have stepped up a gear and overtaken Konami by a further 4 years with this game. We now believe our gameplay experience and presentation to be approx. 23 years ahead of Konami's. To prove this, our main stadiums in the game will be 'Moon Base Alpha' and 'Red Planet Theatre'.

Enjoy. Remember, "IF IT'S IN THE GAME, CHANCES ARE WE HAVEN'T NOTICED IT!"

Pulling aside GamePlay for one moment, I really can't seem to find what is wrong with Beckham face... I mean.... the face doesn't resamble the real Becks 100% (like Zidane's face or Totti's)... but I can't see what's wrong with it... I believe it has something to do with the expression of the face and/or the eyebrows.. but it may also be the cheecks, or mouth, or nose...
I think they should try making it again because such an important player like Beckham should be 100% perfect already.

There are so many features in this game that should have been in Fifa 2004...
I doubt it will be as good as they say it will be...but I am also certain that after one has played this there is just no going back to Fifa 2004 which will feel like a demo.

So...what about everyone who has bought TCm for football fusion, and what about those who would like to use the career mode in Fifa 2004 and play club football?

EA should make it possible to import teams to Euro 2004...or they will have screwed us over one more time.

In fact...if this is not an option which it should be...I´m not gonna buy it. I will download it from the net, and don´t think twice about it.
If they screw me...I´ll screw them back.

You mean should have finished right since FIFA 2004 is done and buried. If you already bought FIFA 2004 then EA already got their money so why update it? Its better to just release a whole new game instead  (H)

sl benfica
03-03-2004, 04:29:AM
I hope there are ball effects due to weather. I has a PS2 game called MLS2002(PSE engine for US) and when it's rains the ball would gain speed when it hit the wet pitch on the way to the net. Also the player would slip when trying to break away, and ball would hang on various random puddles, even the goalie sometimes couldn't handle shot and would bounce off his chest in front for an easy tapper in your fowards were able to get to it.

Ronaldinho makes an commercial Spot at Lloret.

http://www.sport.es/media/articles/000000083500/000000083867000000084153.jpg

He will promote a videogame based on eurocup, so he will "be
nearer his partners".

Lloret del Mar beach (Spain) became an improvised tv set
yesterday, in which the star was Ronaldinho Gaucho.

The brazilian crack recorded a videogame commercial
in which gamers can play with any european national team that
will contest next eurocup in portugal.

Ronaldinho, who is an expert in recording these commercials,
performed perfectly all the director's orders.

The player showed delighted 'cause he will promote a
football-based product, which is his passion, and he was
joking about "since i can't play the eurocup, i'll be able to
feel near my partners and play it virtually with this game".

EA are fu**ing amazing, the game is not finished yet and they already proved that they can´t make a soccer game, how is it possible that they call to the stadium of the Dragão "D Alfonso Henriques Stadium"!!!

Canadians making soccer games it´s like Portuguese making ice hockey games.

The Picture that you are seeing is from the "Dragão Stadium" home of the UEFA cup Holder and the next Champions League Winner.

No mate, ummm, actually when they finally do a good game of course I`ll praise `em. Anyway since FIFA 2003 ( which was a major letdown for me ), I never "officially" bought FIFA 2004, after some bad reviews I read from various game magazine and web-sites after they compare it with another game from a certain Japanese company. How do I get FIFA 2004, let`s not talk about it here, cos` it isn`t allowed by the forum rules ;)

Anyway, haven`t seen you doin` any kits or patches for a long time . . . (H) Are you retiring mate ? Or you`re currently just not in the mood ?

About editing well there are various reasons.Major one being time.I dont have much time on my hands now,I'm bored of making kits,Plus the new guys are doing a great job in making kits.I think at moment no need for me to make kits.:)

No, that`s not the point. The point is, Danny Isaac promised us the most accurate databases and authenticity of players` behaviour and asked the fans to tell them about any players real-life behaviour before FIFA 2004 is released just like what they`re doin` now. And he promised it will be made 100 % correctly. Hadn`t he promised me that I wouldn`t give a **** if the foot settings was wrong or the gameplay is still scripted. The problem is they promised that and then they broke it, just like the promise about there`ll be weather affecting the game, but just as fans already pre-ordered their FIFA, they suddenly cancelled the feature, a week before the game is released.

It`s a good thing to have dedicated roster editor like you in the community, but I always wonder, why does amateurs like you, who edits the game simply for fun, can always do 10 times better jobs than EA`s so called "professional" do ? The problem they got a lack of passion and lots of lazyness. What`s worse is that they tell other people to do their job and they still got paid by those who do their job. So what`s their job ? What are the fans payin` them for ?

16-03-2004, 12:30:AM
It's exactly that i think.
I tell that often, when you respect people no for their money you can make a very good game for them.
But EA think only money.
But the problem for them, it's that there is PES this year and they understand that licence and graphics don't make a complete game.
So they want to go leader again, but a lot of people play PES and don't think EA make a simlilar game to PES.
It's their problem today .

Yeah, it'll be a freaking nightmare for FIFA players to actually spend 2 minutes editing the names of the Dutch team rather than having them typed out already for them. Still, given most FIFA players choose the game because they'd rather have instantaneous correct names and sh1t gameplay than awesome gameplay and have to apply a 30 second patch, that really is no surprise!

Im sure a converted version will be available within days....Whether or not it will actually work is another question, but you've got to assume that there will be NTSC copies available.

*** That times those?

I believe that all those that read to me remember those different unforgettable evenings of Spain in the world-wide ones. Yes, those desperate parties to classify to us, and right when we played excellent, arrived the damn quarters and our selection went away to house. The reason? The pressure could with them, and the 15 daily covers of some sport newspapers calling to Spain?El better equipment of the world? they dynamited the spirits of the Spanish fan. In short, the amount of games based on world-wide served to take revenge us of Italy de Tassoti or England de Shearer In these you could desagraviarte to the aim of porca misery or the sung ones of Zubizarreta. To mention all the games that left this style is very difficult, although with license we could cross all the phantom of leftovers?Made in USGOLD? that they were made for the Spectrum. The first more serious well-known Italy 90, that had a peculiar game in MegaDrive. This it followed the very loose USA to him 94, and I already get EA to match first of great quality with France 98.

From the license of the world-wide ones it has remained here, luckyly, in EA, and we have not returned to the ominous times of U.S. GOLD. Although there has not been much evolution of delivery 98 to the 2000 of FIFA, the mundialistas editions always were about to to include the official hymns, stages specially well, etc... Recently we have had the opportunity, thanks to Enrique of EA Sports, to prove the official game of next Eurocopa 2004 in its version PS2. This it has the official license of the Eurocopa of Portugal, and separate it includes not classified national selections, being possible to create your own Eurocopa to your pleasure. The game also has the license of all the t-shirts and although the proven beta still did not show the official t-shirts, in the end will be all. On the matter another beta that we could prove, although previous and less polished, already tapeworm the t-shirts, which had a brilliant definition, demonstrating the great level in textures reached about EA in PlayStation 2.

*** audio-visual Improvements

The technical section in this version is at a great level, being all the players excellently represented and the stages bordering the perfection. These are exact reproductions of their homónimos in the Eurocopa and give to the game a realistic touch that the player will make never feel like this soccer event. The animations, unlike other games, are not nothing repetitive and the system of collisions is absolutely I magnify, having itself perfected from FIFA version 2004. As far as the sonorous section we can see some known names as Nelly diverse Furtado or DJs in rows. The FX are of great quality, and the commentaries follow in charge of the pair of the Chain TO BE, Lama and González. As far as the cánticos of the likings, that as much pleased, they stay and we can hear many well-known (classic?España ra-ra-ra, popularized by Manolo the one of the Big drum, he is present).

The different ways from game are: ?Euro 2004, the match of the official Eurocopa with possibility even of selecting to any national equipment and the players of this (in the style of Merciful), this way also includes a new system of moral (so that the Spanish selection sinks, irremediably, in quarters) and the pertinent sanctions; ?Ida and returned, a confrontation in the own stage and the one of outside between two selections; ?Fantasía, creation a DreamTeam with the best players of the world; ?Situación, a way in that the situations of the party (marking, tactical, remaining time can be decided, etc...), in the style of?Torneo ISS64 and finally, where customized championships of all type can be created. Without a doubt it is the greatest establishment of ways that any mundialista game based on a license has had, reason why will be very difficult to become bored with the game.

*** Small gameplay changes and apogee of the simulation

With respect to the jugabilidad, the controls to the first touch, the physics of the ball and mainly the I.A. are altered with respect to FIFA 2004. This maintains the game aspect simulator and very serious front to Pro Evolution Soccer does a rival, maintaining the great change of the passed delivery. 10 movements of ability in stick have been added aside analogical straight, that go from a simple threat to small sewers. Of course the players with better technique are able to make movements very complex, in agreement with their quality. Also you pass them in depth, perhaps the great failure of version 2004, have improved enough and they have themselves including 2 new ones you happen. Petroleum jellies undergo some advances, mainly thanks to the physical improvement of the ball, which does possible to much more detect the ball easily, something that was somewhat difficult in the previous version. All it makes possible that the shots, Chileans, etc... work rather better, and for that reason it is very many more difficult to mark goal, since the doormen detect the ball of more efficient way.

Thus the jugabilidad enough has been improved, and although it maintains all the advances of Fifa 2004 (off the ball including), the added ones notice very many. The blockades of ball of the players are much more frequent, and for that reason the game is much more abrupt as it is soccer in the reality. In FIFA 2004, still there was possibility of marking some goal by means of passes length, now this is impossible since the defenses work better, In the parties that I played Enrique and, the most frequent result was the tie to 0. What demonstrates that the simulator turn of FIFA, is already almost complete and the old Arcade touch of version 98 has disappeared completely. Perhaps this is counter-productive for all those that feel like orphans of games Arcade de Futbol, and more with the shipwreck of the last Virtua Striker, but, the market has turned totally to the pure simulation with the success of Pro Evolution Soccer and version 2004 of FIFA. With which it is very difficult that in the short term they can return the games from soccer to the Super style Sidekicks, so we will be satisfied to these, brilliant on the other hand, games of strictly simulator soccer.

*** All, all the licenses

Since we have said before, Eurocopa 2004 is the official game, therefore the licenses, t-shirts are conserved and the hymns have been added (in fact we could hear the granadera march, the Spanish national anthem) as usually he is habitual mundialistas editions. He is surprising in addition to see the logo of each selection, the perfect reproduction the t-shirt and the almost total similarity between the virtual players and the real ones. All the names of the players are the real ones, and the statistics of them are sufficiently fit like being real. Even so and not to allow that the game is easy with an equipment of super-you star (léase France), the moral system makes specially difficult by the own pressure that the yield of the players is to the 100%. That without a doubt faithfully represents what supposes to play a sport competition of high level, in which an equipment gambles as much.

*** Conclusion

The way walked by EA from FIFA 94 is being based in the best yield of its tax exemptions, back were left the times of equal sequels between if. Now between each FIFA there are a new abyss of improvements and ways that justify the purchase, without a doubt the way that must have followed this saga a long time ago. Hoping that we pruned to do with the Spanish selection everything what this one will not do in the world-wide one, I take leave. To only add that the game sends the 5 of May in the three platforms of 128 bits, and is possible that has some portable version.
