Beckham...well, if Man U win the Premiership and the Champions league, and Englanw does well in Euro 2000, he may be tha man.

The player of the year award is not based on a players team performances,but the individual's stats.Schevchenko should win it,cause first of all its his first year in serie A and not many can win the scoring title in their first season in the league.Im not a big milan fan myself but shevchenko is a great player.

I haven't had the chance to see Shevchenko play but once this year. I see alot of matches on Fox Sports World (isn't it awsome?), but Milan has not been on that much...seems everytime they do a Serie A game it's Inter or Lazio against a relatively weak team. Anyway, I dont recall who Milan played, but he did look good. I understand he has some very gaudy goal stats. Maybe you're right,...but damn, that Kewell has been impresive. I'm actually a Chelsea fan so I'n not being biased.
