I'm playing as man utd and it seems none of my players ever win world or European awards so what are these awards worked on?

On my current game Kluivert has just won European striker of the year and yet he's played 17 and scored 10 with an average rating of 7.65 while Santa Cruz for me has played 26 scoring 38 with a average rating of 8.42 now how does that work out?

Mikael Silvestre got the award when I played for Man U with Robinho getting it the next season.

Maybe they just pick it randomly.

not completely random I think (always one of the bigger clubs) but it can sure pick dumb:o How the hell can a keeper be 2nd in the european footballer of the year, and not be in european keeper of the year awards:kader:

they're ****ed in my view, i never win anything in the world awards, even when Tsigalko is the best performing stiker in the world.

yeh the awards in the game really sh!t me to death, in scotland the football writers player of the year once went to a player in 2nd division and he had played 7 games and was a backup for the first team:kader: :f***:

Yep. I don't think its picked at Random though. I think they have too play a certain amount of games and then it goes down too apperances divided by Average Rating, (Not sure on that one, don't quote me on it)

I don't mind winning cups that don't bring any money. It always helps towards your manager profile

Gary Neville who had an average rating of under 7 won the World Footballer of the Year award in my first season as Yokohama. :|

When you're managing in other place, something like Asia or stuff, things tend to get even more screwed up in my vision. God, Henry just signed for Man Utd in my game...:o

They were much better in Cm01/02.

i definetely dont think it is chosen on ability as my star player giampaolo pazzini and he had 73 goals in 38 games with an average rating of 8.55 and 26 assiss...so if u can say that cm has a better striker than that..tell me as i want to buy him...

in my porto game, Thiago Mota won the player of the year. He ad great stats 25 Gp, 5 goals, 15 assists, 9.12 Avg rating. The only prob was that those stats were for the Barcelona B team. Stupid awards!!!

i had a bunch of players that shouldn't have won the award win it (mostly defenders), whilst players like Henry (10 MoM awards in 20 matches, 14gls, 10 assts) didn't get in at all:rolleyes:
