not a big deal but I hate when it does that. i'm used to the win98 when they just pile it all in so can see everything available.
it does in programs aswell and is very annoying (well to me anyway) in Word for ex especially.

so if ever there was a way to stop it from doing that i'd like to know :p

Right click on the taskbar --> properties --> Start Menu (tab) --> Customize --> Advanced tab --> Make sure the "Scroll Programs" box is not ticked.

Dunno if it's the same for Win98 tho (I'm using XP)

I've got 2000 pro aswell and i do what you said above and it was unticked to start off with :confused: and if i tick it, theres no difference :confused:
