well i must say...very very lucky....as there has been the argument klately about parma being a top class team......parma isn t top class anymore.....they drew STURM GRAZ (from austria LOL) ....and how?? the linesman had to give them a goal which was still 10 cm in front of the goal line(he wasn t even sure...he desided after talking to the ref for 5 mins) .... hmmmmm i bet i m gonna get loads of flames from italian fans.....who cares...just had to say this

It will sound something like this.

But Parma didn't have their top players. So & so was injured. If they had been playing the score would have been Parma 10-0.

I heard all of this when Rangers took Parma to school.

Rangers outplayed Dortmund over both legs.
3 penalty saves and an injury time goal saved BD.
Rangers were robbed in the last 2 minutes.

But as a Celtic fan i'm pissing myself laughing

Up the Dortmund.

Yeah really, and look at Roma (one of the Serie A leaders) they just scraped by 1-0 on aggregate over Newcastle who is 7th from the bottom in the Premier League. What does that tell you (Serie A is a joke? possibly!) They're not as high and mighty as they would like to think.

They still won, didn't they? You sound just like those people who were complaining how Man U got lucky vs. Beyern...

Newcastle may be 7th to bottom of the table, but they have a strong side, including world class striker Alan Shearer.

The reason why Parma didnt play well in the last game was cause b4 the game they were so confident to go through to the next round that during the game they were playing like they came from vacation.

Hehe, playing like they came from vacation, that's a good one.

Sure Polish, they did win, I'm just not impressed with the closeness of the matches. Now that 7-0 thrashing of Benfica by Celta that's impressive! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Please don't mention Man U! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Even though Bayern is the Man U. of the Bundesliga I would have preferred them to win it but luck had nothing to do with it. They got their treble and diserved it.

Ajax Newcastle have two world class strikers.

It was more than a lucky victory for Parma!! The linesman won the game for them. Sturm Graz played their best international game ever and the proved two things. Firstly, they aren't as bad as some think and secondly Parma is no longer an international-top-team. But it's typical for all Austrian soccer teams that when they play good soccer against a top team they nearly win the game but then they always make a stupid mistake or the referee makes an unfair decision against them. On Thursday, however, it was both!!!

Fifa- referees make stupid mistakes in 95 percent of all games played!

At least their not as bad as the FIFA 2000 refs

all of the games have dodgy decisions

I'd just like to make a few comments...
It's unfair to judge clubs by a game or two they mess up on - every club makes surprising results every once in a while against some whimp. Even as a Manchester United fan I (and You -) must concede that the Italian League is (probably) the best league in the world (at least for the PAST decade), and although there are signs of fading away, it's still the biggest name around.

About Rangers vs. Dortmund : again, even as a Celtic fan, Rangers just doesn't get enough practice. You can't play Aberdeen with your eyes closed one day and then tomorrow play Bayern Munich.

What do you think?
