Hey,
Im taking a trip to London and Paris in Mid June and I was wondering if any of you who have lived or been to either city could tell me good places to see or eat at in eather of the cities. I know about the historical and main attractions but what are some of the fun places that tourists often don't see like the London Trocadero. Also what good soccer stores and spots should I try to check out in London.


Also as an Arsenal fan I was thinking about checking out Highbury. The only problem is I'm not sure whether this being my first experience to see a european soccer stadium first hand I should see Highbury since its so small or if I should just take a tour of Stamford Bridge considering it may be more interesting.
Also if Im staying in Paris for three days would it be out of the way to See the Stade de France.

I've been too Paris about 4 times in my life. I don't know why its called the most romantic city on earth because it seemed a bit industrialised when I visited. Lots and lots of Factories, Motorways and Cheap Hotels. I did goto Bordeaux last time I was in France, I liked that allot, it was a lovely town.
I've seen the Stade De France, Its massive. I reccomend you go and see that one.

I live in England and have been too London, let me say, you'll never encounter such a filthy and mucky place. Rubbish is ankle high in allot of places and everything from buildings to streets is black with dirt. Its also the most over-populated town I know of. London's streets are very small and pokey then add about 10,000 other people on that street and its not very fun at all. I went too Harrods when I was there (I was about 9) too look at the toys section ad anyone would have though they had just walked into a Junior Wresling Ring! It was like a kiddie Royal Rumble. Your best bet for food would be a McDonalds aswell, cause otherwise you'll be paying a weeks budget on food for one meal.

There is a PSG soccer store right on the Champes Alyee Seys are however you spell that dirty french word. I think it's across the street from Le Quik, and down the road a bit from the Arc de Triumph. I still don't know what they have triumphed over. Deoderant?

Anyway, good luck dodging the piss puddles and dog **** in the streets.

Yes. Amsterdam is good if you are going there with a purpose, and when the american tourists aren't taking up the footpaths three blocks from Anne Franks house. Avoid the guys on the bridges, they are just trying to sell you overpriced coke. Stick to the dope cafes, but make sure you only buy it unrolled, the prerolled smokes are crappy and a rip off. There were a few mushroom places around as well when I was there, not sure if they are still there though. The whole sex museum thing is a waste of time and overcommercialised, as is the red light district.

London - again, tourists seem to be everywhere when it is summer and places like the tower are hard to get into, as well as being very expensive. Like ebonix says, things there are overpriced - a pint of beer cost anywhere from 2 pounds 20 to 2 pounds 80, compared with 1 pound 50 in for example Manchester. But at the end of the day, for both Paris and London, make sure you budget well and don't waste your money on anything. Yes they are dirty but they are old and have alot of history, make sure you take advantage of 'free' things like museums and art galleries. Don't expect to find a rubbish bin in central london, considered to be a bomb risk.

As for what was triumphed over, a certain guy called Napoleon had a few triumphs...

Yeah the mushroom places are still open but there are fewer and fewer....

As for paris, the louvre, eiffel tower, stade de france, any one of the 500 museums, champs elysses, arc de triumph (sp?)....
