hi i was going through this Graphix forum seeing a lot of great works of art..... from sigs to wallpapers. i am interested in starting to make some of these my self and was wondering which i is better for these tasks, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, or if there is some other software which does a good job (because start/programs/accesories/paint just doesnt cut it)

any help would be appreiciated, thanks!:rockman:

Photoshop, just practice loads and you'll get used to it. Check the resources thread at the top of the page and do tutorials to get used to the tools and find out what is possible, etc :)

I think it's very well known that Photoshop is the best, there's no need to ask that question over and over again...

hey i just checked adobe.com and its US$649.00 for Adobe Photoshop CS, why the heck is it so expensive?

should i just get a previous version that doesnt cost that much... like 6.0 or 7.0, or something like photoshop elements... cause im new to this stuff and just getting into it

7 is similar to CS (i have 7)

Photoshop Elements doesn't have a lot of features the regular Photoshop does.

start with Paint shop pro, to get the hand of making graphics. Its a lot easier to use. Then once you get the hang of it, switch over to photoshop.
