Hello,
I am new to this game but have fallen in love with it already. A friend and I were trying to connect via a Direct IP connect so we could play against each other remotely. We tried it both ways, where he was a host and I entered his IP, and then vice versa.
All the screen did was say "Waiting for Other Players" <---on the host screen -AND- "Establishing Connection" <---on the connector's screen. (And we were doing it where the host connects first, then the other player after)
We tried it a few times, but after up to 15 minutes of waiting for any action what-so-ever, we gave up and disconnected.
We have, obviously, downloaded the patch that has ben recommended in order to add the "multiplayer" option to the mail menu... however, this is the ONLY patch we both have yet downloaded.
What are we doing wrong? Do we need additional downloads to make this work? What else should we try?
