Anyone else notice it? I always see a waxy film-like substance in front of his kit. What is it?

It's Vick's Vapo-Rub. It helps him to breathe better. Several other Arsenal players use it as well.

Thats actually a good idea.... though its not as good as putting Vicks Vapor rub on in the summer and having it cools your face as you breath (H) :p

It does go on his chest, it rubs off on to the shirt

i don't think it would seap through the jersey though..

i think he puts it on the outside of his shirt which is very weird.

My belief is that he puts it on the shirt for good reason. If he needs a dose of vapo-rub then all he's got to do is pull his shirt up over his face. A bit easier than trying to sniff his own chest I would think.:D

note also freddie ljungberg uses vicks ...dont remember if any others

Nah it's defnatley Vicks & it's on his shirt rather than his chest so that he can lift it up close to his face if he wants to get a real sniff of it....
