lol like they said on Sky Sports some people are suprised that Diouf was in the list and so am i. Out of all the players that's played the game Diouf is in the top100?. He has done nothing to to be in that list...strange choice. Also Argentinians are really angry that some legendary players from Argentina wasnt included int he list.

yeah some one should teach him how alphabetical order works ... just kidding.

This is a list of living players... at 1st i was wondering why he had Bobby Charlton but not Bobby Moore.

we more or less have the best around in there yeap (bar diouf obviously who's crap :p )

I think David Seamen's error against Brazil in the World Cup was the reason he didn't include him in the list. Stupid really because he is still one of the greatest goalies of all time and along with Schmeichel definately the best ever that has played in the Premiership.

Isn't it just annoying as hell when people start ordering lists alphabetically on peoples' FIRST name. How dumb is that?

BTW which country has the most players on that list? Holland seems to have a lot of players on there...

EDIT: WTF?

Resenbrink Van de Kerkhof Belgium

These guys ain't belgian, they're 100% dutch.

well I think list isn't from Pele himself.Someone just picked there own list together and called it Pele's list.

first I don't think Pele would name that many players that are still playing

second So few players of Pele's time(i could name another 10 players of pele's time who are much better then a couple of players who are in now.)...and too many of the new generation.

third Pele's once said he hated the style of Gert Muller (der Bomber) of germany... and that he wasn't interresting.

fourth it's ReNsenbrink( Robbie Rensenbrink ,one person.)
van der Kerkhoff ( Willy van der Kerkhof, second person.
sooo it's not one person.

AND THEY ARE NOT FROM BELGIUM BUT HOLLAND!!!

there are sooooooooooooooooo many better goalkeepers than Rustu throughout the whole history and even playing at the present.

Here's 10:
Casillas
Seaman
Jorge Campos
Higuita
Michel Preud'Homme
Zubizarreta
Yashin
Toldo
Peruzzi
and that guy from Paraguay who used to take freekicks as well (can't remember his name atm).

Hm, Pele didn't made that list.

He received a Top200 list from Fifa and choosed his Top100 favorites from that 200.

Rules from Fifa:

All players must be alive
50 players must be still playing
2 players must be women

This explains some weird names! ;)

Yes I couldn't agree more IF this was a public poll but it isn't.

f it was a public poll u would see real greats like Jimmy Johnstone, Jimmy McGrory, Jim Baxter, Lawrie Reilly and Graeme Souness and far too many more to mention.

As far as Wales go u couldn't ignore the recently departed John Charles along with Cliff Jones, Ian Rush, Ryan Giggs, Mark Hughes or Neville Southall.

How about Northern Ireland's Danny Blanchflower, Charlie Tully or the fabulous Pat Jennings.

England, like Scotland, have had so many brilliant players that they could have 100 on their own. One of the most famous images from football is Pele swapping shirts with Bobby Moore in 1970 after Brazil's 1-0 win over England in Mexico so I'm amazed Moore isn't on Pele's list.

Ridiculous. Why players have to be alive to make the list? So if Maradona or Puskas for example, were dead, then they wouldnt make the list for some moron like Diouf? Wtf has Diouf done to be on the fvcking list?

Also, where's Gerson, Rivellino, Jairzinho? And if Trezeguet is one of the best of all time, then i dont know what football has become, seriously, when guys like him get this kind of award, you know something has gone wrong, really wrong. I didnt read the entire list, but it sounds like even Careca didnt make the list, the best striker in our football history didnt make it, Romario is pants compared to him. I may be wrong, i'll read it again, if i am, i'll edit my post anyways.:crazyboy:

"But it is the omissions which have proved so controversial, notably Jairzinho and Gerson from the 1970 World Cup-winning Brazil side and Geoff Hurst, the only man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.

Jairzinho is the only player to have scored in every single round of a World Cup, while Gerson appeared on Brazilian television today and tore up the list in a flamboyant display of outrage at the slur."

"No Welsh players were picked by Pele – neither Ryan Giggs nor Ian Rush made it, and it was confirmed that even had John Charles still been living he would not have figured."

There is aparently a big controversy that Pele did not include his countrymen Jarzinho and Tostao? Who cares about the top 100....only the top 10 will really draw any attention ....those two guys were not in the top ten so Brazilians should not be so dissapointed about that and stop complaining !:mrpimp:

Where the heck is Holland' s total football?:f***:

ok but Rüstü isn't my brother :)

I like his style and I think he is one of the best keeper on the world.

and sure I don't like all Turkish players !

Maybe Buffon plays Juventus, Casillas plays Real but Rüstü plays Barcelona. You don't say bad keeper to Rüstü...

Rustu was one of the BEST keeper in WC 2002
He was great against Korea in the match and also some other matches too but after WC I didnt hear much about him so I don't think he is better than the likes of Dida, Tim Howard or even Paul Robinson.

but Iker also was one of the best keepers in the WC... he played very well, and he was only 21 ... and he has won 2 UCL, 2 Ligas, 1 Intercontinental Cup, etc...

It´s not really a joke, it´s only an commercial activity (which is quite similar). The most ridiculous thing is that the original list had 100 players and due to controversy it was expanded to 125 at last minute (which didn´t helped anyway.).
