I'm having a lot of trouble doing the fake shown in this video:

It says that all you have to do is move up right and then down right (assuming you're running from left to right), but it doesn't do anything. The player just runs regularly and it doesn't work. I've tried it with several star players.

Can anyone walk me through it?

Also, what's with the triple fake thing? The regular fake works fine, as all I have to do is release the shot with the short pass. But with the triple, It says you shoot, release with two more shots and a short pass (square, and release with square, square and x) but that doesn't work either, because as soon as I release the shot with another shot the player shoots it away.

How exactly is this trick performed?

Also, I understand there's a nutmeg trick. Does anyone know about that?

not sure about the B.F. Fake, maybe it's because you used keyboard that's why it's difficult to pull out the move.

About the triple fake thing, you have to do it extremely fast.

triple feint is almost impossible to perform when you use double speed I think
db speed up all gameplay and speed of loading shot meter so when you tap square 3 times it's too late to tap "X" and ball goes away
I could make this trick on normal speed only

assume that you're faced on west direction. so you should press the left arrow key to continue your movement. press left+down and then left again quickly, there you make a both feet faint. keep in mind that your player should have that ability (it's admitted on the special abilities section).

Ronaldinho good enough? He has that attribute, but nothing happens.

I'm running left, just regular... I then add the down arrow (keyboard - remember that) so he runs diagnolly south west. I then immediately leave the down arrow so he'll just run regular left again.

I've tried this in various ways and directions.

But all he does is run, just like any other player would. He doesn't do anything special.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

It's hard to do even for those of us that have been playing PES for years, and unfortunately it isn't hugely effective, a bit like stepovers in that regard. Looks good, but doesn't really accomplish much. The little shimmy, and the shoot fakes are far more effective.

No idea why you can't do it on keyboard, I can do it on pad fine, but as I said, it's more of a "cool I just fluked that and got past you" than a planned sort of thing. Even when it happens you often didn't really want it to.. :)

And how exactly do u do the triple shot fake? How often do you manage to do it?

The little shimmy is the R2 and a 90degree direction change. But you only do it for a second. So basically you run along, sidestep once and then keep going forward. It's really effective sometimes, especially against other human players.

Don't bother with the triple shoot fake. You don't need it. The only shoot fakes I use are just the normal ones, [] then X. It is VERY useful to be able to do it both ways, however, so practise that. There is also a chip fake that I do whenever I remember, which is basically double tap [] and then hit R1 on the second []. It fakes a shot and then chips over the keeper. Chips in general are fairly useful.

Each player only does it one way, which means he fakes with his strong foot. [] and X, right?

maybe it goes without saying but you know that B.F. can perform players with "Both Foot Fake" special ability? so you probably aren't able to do this with players without this skill

I know that. I've tried the B.F fake with players who have that ability and I still can't do it.

There are two shoot fakes, one where he cuts in, and one where he cuts away. Lets say I am put through on goal running to the left of screen, with a right footed player. I want to shoot fake the keeper. I can hit [] then X which will cause the player to fake a shot and then cut the ball down, across his body. If I do the same shoot fake, but am pressing up at this time, then he will push the ball up and away from himself after the fake, instead of down and across his body.

It's hard to explain exactly, so I advise you to just go out and try it. They look quite different. You should be able to do both.
