in your display properties
or with an external tweak program like riva tuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163)

I've looked in my display properties and can't find anywhere to turn on my gfx-card settings and I got riva tuner with wolfs patch and tried that but couldn't find anything either :(

i think vsync is all about rendering.
with it on, the graphics card waits gor the screen to finish showing the current frame before showing the next 1, if ur graphics card is powerful enuf it doesnt make pro evo slow.
with it off, it jus displays the frame before the screen has shown it. this means it cud be ha;lf way through a frame and the next one is shown, so u would get a line cut across the screen.

I don't know if it could have been caused by me not installing from the cd for the graphics card which I've just done.
My graphics card is 128mb radeon 9600, ibo I have never got that far on riva tuner just had a quick look at it and left it.
Shake your booty would you say that my graphics card is fast enough? sorry im just not very good with graphics cards and that, thanks for all your help

I get a similar thing with mine using a GeForce 4 ti 4800 128mb
I only have a PIII 833 and 640mb sdram.
I am using the CM Speeder program and I thought it was causing it. I will have a play with the Vsync settings.
