At the end the Scottish ref gave Yugoslavia a red card showing his true colours as a BIASED ref, a ref cheering for one team the whole game. BTW my good english buddy Shez guess what?? I was out but taped the game. I fast -forwarded thru the match after the goal (so most of it), but I thought it was quite lucky. BUT every team needs luck now and then! I didn't see the red card, who was sent off? Dallas is an ace ref, he was the one who all Celtic fans shoudl remember! Lame asses??? hmmm ok so what if they dive, every team does. Remember Holland's penalty againt the Czech's or Inzaghi's penalty against Turkey... I felt most of those tackles were harsh on our players. I was most pissed when Milosevic was on the ground and Norway refused to kick the ball out of bounds and yet play by "fair play"....

Yeah i agree with yeh Inzaghi's penalty was terrible and it robbed Turkey of a point and the Czech`s were unlucky but some of the diving in tonights game was very bad 4 out 10 for the game and 10 out 10 for the bad sportsmanship

First of all, referee Hugh Dallas was a disaster.

The free kick you scored on, was that a free kick? No, it was a clean tackle by André Bergdølmo! And when the free kick was taken, Dan Eggen was held down, it should have been a free kick for Norway.

Norway should have a penalty when Ole Gunnar Solskjær was held back, one of the plainest penalty kick reasons in Euro 2000 so far! Hugh Dallas should find another job!

And in the second half, I've never seen such a mob with pussys in my entire life, and of course I mean the Yugoslavs. They laid down on the ground all the time for nothing, just to let the time fly. And you used several minutes on every throw ins, goal kicks and free kicks.

The Yugoslavs play DIRTY! Two red cards in two matches? Well, it should have been a LOT more!

The referee was not biased to any side - he was just simply terrible to both sides. As for Yugoslavia progressing, I think they're collapse against Slovenia may come back to haunt them - but Norway still have to beat the Slovenians, who, as I predicted in February (I will find the forum thread if you may), have been the revelation of the tournament, both fans and players alike.

Don't be too proud over your CHEAP victory over Norway. Your victory was cheap, you were playing like ladies in one moment and in the next you would execute a horrendous tackle that SHOULD have resulted in a yellow or red card. A Norwegian journalist asked Milosevic if you were going to play "macho football" well YOU DIDN'T. You played cheap lousy football. You fell for anything, and lay writhing in pain for absolutely NOTHING!

Everyone is accusing Norway for playing boring. Some damn Dane actually said that they would rather lose than play like Norway. Just a small thing....

Somewhere near the end of the second half, a Yugoslavian player was lying on the ground (Milosevic?), writhing in "pain". The Norwegian players, and noticeably Bakke, who held the ball at that time, didn't kick out the ball.

Now, the rules of soccer do NOT force you to kick a ball out! It's considered "fair play", and is generally accepted, but I'll say again - it's NOT the rule! You don't HAVE to do it!

Now, Milosevic was pretty obviously not really injured, and he seemed to recover pretty quickly once Yugo' won the ball again, and in hindsight it seemed like he was just stalling.

So, Bakke is handling the ball somewhere along his own left line, and all the Yugoslavian camp is mad at him for not kicking out the ball. Suddenly, a Yugoslavian player is running behind him, obviously enraged at the "un-fair play", at not letting Milosevic recieve treatment.

This player decides to "teach Bakke a lesson", and jumps him with a karate kick from behind. He smashes his leg into the backside of Bakke's knee, bringing him down.

What Norway did was really wrong, and was really not fair (even if prehaps justified).

The foul on Bakke was a non-football foul, a foul aimed at breaking the poor guy's leg, a "revenge" foul. Plus it was a foul from BEHIND, which automatically requires a red card. The guy got off without a red, which was....well....(!!!!!)

p.s. I think Beckham deserved a red as well, vs Germany, when he tried to break that guy's leg after not recieving a call, near the German's left corner.

I for one always root for the underdogs, and at the start of the tournament would've liked one of the underdogs to do well, such as Sweden, Romania, Denmark, Norway, Slovenia or Yugoslavia. BUT the way yugo played against norway was shameful, they surely off the list together with sweden and denmark. No matter how defensive Norway play, it's football, as football doesn't mean attacking play, but can be a wide variety of plays. Now either yugoslavia are a bunch of wimps who can't handle the manly sport of football, or they knew unless they wasted time they might not get 3 points, unless you have a valid reason for them cowering on the ground for a few minutes after every tackle.
Oh, and the red card that youngster got was not harsh at all. He was late, very late, came in from the side and had his studs showing.
