Im really surprised that the subs would play this well except for Montella who missed so many chances .Di Biaggio's goal was a beauty and Del piero's was even better .I taught Italy would have lost but i was wrong ,now we will have to wait and see if Romania or England will face us .

First, Di Biaggio was totaly unmarked so I call it a error by the defense...but Sweden should have scored about 4-5 goals with all their goalopportunities...but as usual - WE CAN'T SCORE...we really don't have the players..

Sweden were much better then the Italian side and I feel sorry for Del Piero cuz the Italian team didn't go forward so often - But he scored a amazing goal..to bad for us but now we showed you all that we can play football - and entertaining too (I think it was a good match to watch..)

..so, now I can say that I'm a swede without feeling comletely terrible..

You call the Italian side a B Team...Sweden had 4 starting player out before the game and we got 2 players injured in this game..and we don't have so many good players to choose from...

The subs played well? They sucked bad?
What was that stuff called they played in the 1st? Everything but defense.
Negro, Ferrara, Pessotto - by no means do these players ever again deserve to play.
What was the corner ratio after the 1st? 10-1? Absolutely no midfield for Italy, I like di Biagio, but all he did was score the goal. And yes, he also set up the swedish goal brilliantly. Ambrosini is a decent tackler - but ever heard of Gattuso.

The only midfielder for Italy who can play is Fiore, glad Totti will be back (will he?).
And by the way: Montella played heaps better than Inzaghi, at least he created his own shot...

Montella played better than Inzaghi?????Yeah right .Inzaghi can create many chances and when he sets up a play(Its rare ,but he still does it )the team normally scores ,example ,his pass to Fiore's second goal versus belgium .The defense was a little weak and so was the midfield ,but to win it 2-1 ,is aactually surprising .Thank god that Di Livio was there on the swedish corner kick ,that ball was going in .And what a lovely strike by Del piero .But the fact remains is that I cant wait the regular starters come back ,but im hoping that they put Del Piero .

You actually saw who made the pass for Del Piero's goal, didn't you? The fact is that Montella can play soccer, he can run AND carry the ball, while Inzaghi can only the the first thing.
To me Del Piero played not too well today, I'd like to see him and Totti together playing behind Montella/Delvecchio though.

Del Piero very well ,its just the midfield wasnt that great .Ambrosini had a quiet game ,Di Biaggio played an average game and thirdly the strikers didnt have much support from the midfield except for a few occasions .

Btw, Sweden have 13 players who is injured or not in 100% form after more difficult injuries..

That's all...

Stop it with these excuses .Sweden could of scored on the corener kick but di livio cleared that out ,i doubt ti that the injuries had to do something about that .What about that swedish player who had the open net and missed it ,I doubt that injuries had something to do with that .
