I have had PhotoShop 7.0 forever now, this is my first time I actually tried doing something with it!

Opinions, comments, hints.... anything would be most excellent. Cheers!:)

make the barca badga and the ronaldinho at the right a little more clear and then it will look ok

both look exatly like the most common 'my first photoshop'-pieces. keep it up and you'll learn to use effects more wisely.

Yeah, I do need quite a bit of work. I am glad I can finally snoop around PS 7.0 though finally. I see a lot of the pros in here have some very elaborate details and effects, very class, do you guys add plug-ins, patches, extra filters or what. Or does it basically come down to good use of the tools in the default PS 7.0. Just wondering because I have seen some amazing artwork in the deviant art webpages before!

okay, here it is, but this is obviously after I cut him out of the pic, he originally had someone slide tackling him.

This is something you will notice as you become better with Photoshop but I'll tell ya now, (ready made)effects, filters etc are (99% of the time) a very big no-no, it really cheapens an image and ruins it.

I don't mind criticism but just saying that doesn't tell me why it is ****e! i'm trying to learn here, what could I have done differently? I can tell you I did that manually, so go from there. from what I can see, it looks a bit messed up on the right armpit of the shirt, also on the right leg it looks like it was a bit cut off.

Wow, so all the default effects and filters are no good in PS? are you saying that I have to make my own or do I have to mess with the effects properties and make them my own? really confused on a method of attack then!?
