This patch will get to sharp Russian national team and adds Ukraine, Estonia, Wales, Latvia to International teams.

Patch was made using our brand new technique: teams and players were really added, it means no other teams or players were replaced. We expect other patchmakers will work in the same technique after they learn it from our patch ;) (don't forget to give regards then ;))
Graphics performed by well known european kit-makers.


i guess guys from breamster.com know this patch
because they take our programs for their download center
from time to time...

i think its a quite stupid saying that
"THIS WORK AND TESTING IS ENDORSED BY US ONLY AND CREDIT SHOULD ALWAYS BE GIVEN TO BREAMSTER.COM"
because everybody who played with BACK TO THE USSR patch
installed, actually tested "ID TECHNOLOGY"
and tested even before you, i guess ;)

NetMan is right - FIFA 2003 also reads "external" files...
the difference is that FIFA 2003 takes them from /data/ directory
and FIFA 2004 from fifa-root directory...
yes, every file which isn't in BIGs fifa looks in fifa-root directory

actually, it is the first thing I checked when I got FIFA 2004
nothing really special...

but i must say - you can't add, for example, unlimited faces
because range of every ID is limited (640 is max for faces)
the adboards ID is very limited also...

moreover, if they tested a bit more, they would discovered also
some problems connected with .o files which doesn't
work correctly when are not in BIGs - game becomes unstable.
added faces will crush fifa

well, Im really shocked too that nobody (including me :$) thought of putting the FSH files in the root directory instead of the fifa 2004\data directory. that was stupid of all of us.


but anyway, regarding your (fifasoccer.ru) patch , you guys just put the patch out there, and though we asked you a million times how did you do, you never explained, there was no tutorial, and you even came here and insulted us a few times which cause you to get banned a few times to.


now you're back to defend yourself which I understand, but I still think you were wrong when you didnt shared your knowledge of this with us when you discovered it, so sorry but there's no justice to make here, as it was Michael Pissanos the one who discovered this technique (a few months ago too may I add) for the TCM community and now for the FIFA community via Breamster.com.

Adding custom fonts... Good discovery my friend. Too bad this is old news, but none the less good effort.

Oh, btw thanks for sharing that info with us. If we knew this 2-3 months ago maybe I would have spent more time with my family, other hobbies etc, then f'n arround with all this.

See this is one thing I cant understand with you programers. Share the knowledge for a common good. But then again I suppose it's your pride, porve a point or whatever you wana call it.

I like your work, you guys make some good stuff, dont see any reason for this rivalry. Instead of figuring out ways to make fun of others, maybe you should consider helping the greater cause, the reason we are all here... To make a good game even better for our friends and user.

Its only a technology when someone (in this case, Breamster.com) actually releases "how to do it".

I was unaware of what your USSR patch did let alone what it was!!

Its all good saying we found this 2 months ago... but did you?? How were we supposed to know? We have been working very hard since the actual release of FIFA!

The TCM work done by Michael Pissanos is credited and face id work by myself has been going on for ages. i have been working recently with him and were working towards this tech.

The whole structure of a community is based on information sharing and without that there would only be a small amount of downloads made available made by the select few. That's of no benefit to anyone. If Mike or Breamster had decided to keep this information to themselves then those of us who like to extend our game and those who like to provide these downloads would all miss out- the good thing is they have not.
In the case of Mike we, at the TCM community, owe him a great thanks because he has generated a real buzz in the editing area from his guides and now there are alot of people working on patches thanks to this information being made available. I hope that this will be the case in the FIFA community too.

As my friends have stated, our goal is to provide patchmakers like ourselfs (and the community) with our knowledge so everyone can benifit from it. The tutorial the guys put up on Breamster is excellent and of course a job well done!!! ;) In my previous tutorial I created for the TCM - adding kits etc, many patchmakers jumped to assist in testing & translating it into as many languages as possible.

And again, I thank all these people (you all know who you are) for taking the time out of their busy schedule to assist in this project. As always, I look fwd to working with all of you and of course doing what we all do best, making a great game even better!!! ;)

no reason to get mad man, all I said was that people were thanking breamster.com a lot and no thanks a lot to Michael who was the actual discoverer of the technique. I dont see a problem in pointing that out :confused:


and btw, I dont see why you attack me, besides, I dont post my work in these forums but Ive been working nonstop for the Uruguayan community since I got here. I just dont make Manchester United kits and come show them here. I let that work to you since your the english one :p

apologies to u hakeem - it was in the heat of the moment.

It just annoys me when u get ppl like "thegood" getting jealous, when there is simply no need. I like to work as a community. I have been working very hard on this find, and like mike, was working to the same solution.

thegood obviously feels cheated (i dont know why)! coz he may have used the same technique and kept it quiet, and then gets all up tight because someone else found it and stole his thunder - jealousy is all i can assume.

Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with Fifa. Now, will somebody tell me how to use more than five boots in Fifa? The problem here is, renaming the *.fsh file for boot # 1 to boot # 2 caused the game to read # 2 as the same thing as # 1... meaning two white boots, instead of 1 white and 1 blue, for instance. Using this technique that was apparently invented by so many people (hence the name FIFA COMMUNITY:rolleyes: ), if I were to add boot files in the root directory of Fifa, I would still need to copy the *fsh files of the original 6. (Yes, 6 - don't forget the Referee boots. ) How then would I get the game to read a newly created boot # 7 that was originally a boot #3, as a new boot and not as the original #3? Confused? Read the post again, slowly... my question does, in fact, make sense. And yes, I know I would have to add a reference to the new *fsh file/s using UNIdb. Instead of bickering about who did what and when, lets put our heads together and solve this one, shall we?

Easiest way is rather than create a new FSH file extract an existing one for the zdata_05.big or zdata_04.big using EA Graphic tool, fshtool or BigGui. You can the import your bitmaps into this file.

...where is this D:\User Files\FIFA 2004\KIT-Roster.mdb file located?...I was in my very first step to add kits and I couldn't find the file...another thing, I downloaded some of the programs listed but only some of them are executable...I tried the DBCrab and some window error popped up...is it just me or everybody's having the same problem?...

D:\User Files\FIFA 2004\KIT-Roster.mdb
is a example for a file that will be create with UniDB
you must only specify a folder an a filename you want

After some time I have managed to add arsenal third kits using this method.(well slightly modified)
When adding the third kit for any team (I use Arsenal as reference) it should NOT show up as an image in the creation centre, instead you should see the left hand data fields filled as per your editing of the database .mdb file.

To fix this you should open up zdata04.big with bigGui and navigate to the file you created(should be playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture23__ 3_0_1), extract this file to your fifa root directory (normally C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 2004),then delete this file from your zdata04.big.Rebuild the archive.

In creation centre you will then need to set the font colour and collar geometery of the kits as they will be wrong.(You should not see the kit image within CC now.)

Also the method for adding minikits in the tutorial did not work for me what i had to do was open up the minikits directory and copy any team with third kits big file( i used k2.big) copy the file and rename it to the team id you want(e.g Arsenal is k1.big).
Open the file using bigGUI and rename the files contained within it to you teams ID number.
Next export the FSH file from the archive to desktop and open with FSHTool,Replace the three bitmap images(0000=Home,0001= away and 0002=Third)with the minikits for your team.
Now delete the FSH file you extracted to the desktop and create a new one with FSHtool by double clicking on the index.fsh file.

Now using bigGUI you can import the newly created fsh file from your desktop back into the k1.big file.DO NOT rebuild the archive.( I found that if the offset values changed at all during this procedure the minikits would not work in the game)

I 'm sure someone will come up with an easier method but this way worked for me.

I'm posting Katsche's tutorial with some German expressions translated to English, because some of the commands depend on your system language configuration. The tutorial, in the way it is described below combined with Breamster's ID Tutorial, worked fine for me (after sevreal hours of trial and error). :-)

P.S.: Some words are still written in German. That is because they remain in German even if your system uses a different language. AND SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH.

and rename the files
