foxtel have rights to euro 2000 and will show all but two of the games and SBS (free to air) will only be able to show the highlights on World Sports.....

This is shocking..
i rang up Foxtel to see how much it costs (i DONT want to miss Euro 2000) and it would be $200 installation and $45 a month....

this is stupid....you have to be rich to be able to watch the bloody soccer now

Yeh...when Foxtell started connecting cable tv around the place, it was around $30 for the installation and $39 per month, now that its all gone out to the private contractors, the prices have started to rise, so much for so called free market competition in Australia...its all a huge rort........

soon SBS won't even be able to show the world cup action. The television system in australia isn't good anyway. they abuse thier own sports (Like AFL) just so people can watch it on tv.

Ever since 7 bought the rights to all australian friendlies, SBS have abused soccer more and more.

SBS is only good for the soccer.
In Australia if you don't have pay TV you hardly get to see any soccer except for the odd Champions League Match and the highlights of the FA Premier League.
