I've already searched here for an answer to this and couldnt come up with anything.

What I'm wondering is there a way to convert option files for WE7I between the PC and PS2?

I have the game on both, and on the PC version I'm using the option file from Wolfs EPL & CL patch. On the PS2 I'm using the option file from PESFan.

My dilemma lies in that I prefer the option file on my PC game. Does anyone know of a way to convert the option files from one format to another. I know that to convert them from PES to WE you use a hex editor and change the product code. I looked in both, but the PC version doesnt appear to have the same format.

Have you tried WEOptEditor to see if that will do the trick?

It can load .xps files or the PC option file format so perhaps you can load one and save it in another format.

Thanks Wolf, a grand suggestion. Once again you come through!

It works, but there is one thing just a tad strange about it. Using the editor to open up the PC option file and you don't see any flags when browsing teams. I saved as to and xps and used the xport to throw it on the mem card.

The club, names and players are all updated but all the custom flags are now gone, replaced by the default ones. It looks like the flags are stored somewhere else for the pc.

the patched flags are in the data file unless you upload them to the option file, as you have seen no flags, there are none on the option file and so there will still be none when you convert

Forgive me if this seems a stupid question...

But how would I upload the flags from the data file to the options file on the PC side?

you wouldn't, what you would do is go to pesfan and download trilogys flag pack :)
