View Full Version : A big step for refereeing, a sad day for Norway...

The ref in the match Yugo-Spain did what he had to do when he gave Spain the penalty. At last a ref other than Collina actually does something about the shirt-tearing(yeah, I don't know what it's called in English) inside the box. At the same time, though, that penalty saw Norway out of Euro2000. You could say that we got what we asked for, cause we wanted the ref to start penalizing those fouls. Too bad it had to go against a team that didn't even play in that match. But, oh well, I guess we got what we deserved, eh?

The Norway coach and players are a bunch of fools, why gamble on a draw instead of just winning and be absolutly sure? Spain could then have won with 100-3 and still be out of it. Calculating is not a thing footballers should try.

Yeah, I agree, but still, who would have thought that Spain would score twice in injury time? I know I didn't. But as I said(along with all of the Norwegian players), we got what we deserved.
