E type - campione was a typical football song. Great anthem for Euro 2000. I'm pretty optimistic about the Nelly Furtado song, I think it'll be better than Anastacia's input to WC 2002...

I kinda understand the choice of Nelly... in a tournament like Euro 2004 your goal is to please as many people as you can. And the biggest part of the population in developed countries still buys and hears this kind of pop stuff (just look at the charts). And although Nelly is a pop star, her music isn't total garbage like Britney's and can please different kind of audiences, not just teeny boppers.

I just hoped they had gotten someone portuguese with talent like David Fonseca (who would break the international charts if given the chance) or Dulce Pontes (she sang in the draw cerimony).

The alternative bands and the bands I actually like as Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Radiohead, Muse, Prodigy etc, would never make an anthem for an event like this anyway.
