That guy has probably done intensive plyometrics for years. The difference between him and an NBA Player is that for the players it comes naturally, and of course he probably has no game other than the dunking.

I used to be able to barely dunk. :(

I'm 6'1'' and could ALMOST dunk this summer, i could grab the rim consistently, but I stopped working out and the vertical just fell. I NEED to dunk a regular ball on a standard hoop if only just once in my life.

does jogging with ankle weights seriously improve your jumping :confused:

Ok, well you have to do squats to build up your leg strength. When you can squat a lot you need to to plyometrics. Which help your explosiveness. You jump from side to side over a box while spending as little time on the ground as possible, just jumping really fast. Just keep increasing the height of what you jump over as the weeks go by. Stuff like that really helps your vert.

I have really odd basketball skills for a white guy. I can jump great and I am an awesome Charles Barkley-eqse rebounder but I cannot shoot to save my life. I have practiced a ton on my shooting and I still can't get it right.

I COULD dunk before, but that was when I was in high school. Now I just hide myself and avoid playing basketball. I think my vertical got chopped in half, now I can barely grasp the rim. :(

I am a 1,79m (that's 5-10 for you americans) white guy, and I can dunk since I was 17~18. I've never dunked in an official game, though.
So yeah, I can do what you peeps just dream of.


And Nim, old pal, after I beat you on that 1-1 we'll have to do sometime, I'll dunk the rock just to make you feel more good about yourself. :p
