Anyway atleast the pitch at St. James Park is better than one Porto has. I mean atleast when you see a game at SJP there aren't a bunch of players falling down and flopping on the ground. Porto should really invest in a better groundskeeper so they're players are able to stay on their feet.

exactly i agree 100%, i respect and don't mind when other ppl sauch as Man u fans, NewCastle fans come and predict Porto to get their asses kicked, but when it's a fellow portuguese who should be cheering, because their is a lot of national pride in stake in this game. I feel that if we make it to the finals(which i doubt)a lot of ppl will eat their words

After our first loss in the portuguese league last weekend i think Porto will comeback at his best level again this Wednesday, it's not that we played bad against Gil Vicente but the 2 goals were very stupid, i hope we can learn something from that huge mistakes and i really believe we will... it's not because of a stupid loss that our team lost his quality and his class. ;)

it doesn't matter, Porto has exceded all expectations at this point, both by winning the UEFA cup last year, and by making it this far in the CL. It's an amazing achievement for a club with a small budget from a small league, wether you love Porto or hate them, that's something to be recognized. Some people hate Porto, and some of those people don't know that every win Porto gets helps Portugal as a whole in Europe.

Having said that, after the two shocks yesterday, it could be very well possible that Lyon could beat Porto, I mean for the first time in months, Porto have SOME sort of vulnerability, and Lyon need to take advantage of that to have a chance of going through.

You need to go check up your math. You also need to learn to speak English, but I won't go there yet. But I must say I'm surprised with your ending comment...

Comments like that are what push for a post-match statistic stating how many times a team dived.

About the game, one word for Maniche's goals, FANTASTIC! Only one thing make me sad, we should have won this one, i'm a litlle bit disapointed because we deserved the victory in the 2nd half but the most important is that we're in the semis and we're gonna play against... Deportivo(i can't believe they went through)!!! FC Porto have proved that we have what it takes to win the CL, but so as Depor, Chelsea and Monaco, no favorites here they all have equal chances to win he CL. I´m a bit concern about the game against Depor, scoring 4 goals to an Italian team is almost impossible, the italians are the best defenders in the business but Depor somehow manage to do so, it will be a batlle. Even so i think that a normal Depor against a normal FCP wil result in a ticket to Germany, but anything can happen

You're getting a bit dillusional. Porto deserved to go through but I think the draw for this leg was the most fair result. Lyon were very much in control the first half and Porto defended well.

Big props to Baia, that save on Juninho's rocket of a shot was ******* amazing. Heck, after that save I'm ALMOST near saying he should go to Euro...

Porto had alot of chances to score one or two more goals. McCarthy missed at least 2 by my count. Anyways impressive stuff by Porto, that midfield is world class. Costinha, Maniche and Deco were so solid...Lyon couldn´t handle them. The mix btw the hard working midfielders and the skillfull forward players is one of the best ive seen in this current season. Lyon is a good side but they depend too much on Juninho (who is going through a bad phase) and Govou (who didn´t play).

maniche has more quality as a AA player than Miguel,Petit, Nuno Gomes(but unfortunately we have nobody better than Nuno game. As a person, he has been excellent so far for FCP, you don't know nothing about Maniche, so how can you call him a bad person. Nobody knows what really went on when Maniche was in Benfica. Sporting left winning titles after 1980 and Benfica continued to win titles and cups during the 80's and the first-half of 90's. we have 3 european finals and after 1974... maybe because then porto was a CLUBE DE BAIRRO and only began to grow when pdc got there in the early 80's...

we were the first team to win the league, and we are an older team than Benfica. It's funny how you call a city with more history than Lisbon a Bairro. Poro is one of the oldest cities in portugal.

Sorry for being a little late to bring up again the maniche bussiness but i have to fight this one with you.

1º Maniche is by now the most complete miedfielder that portugal have besides Tiago, he can do anything, defend, tackle, atack and shoot. He has wonderfull stamina and balance, he is very quick on the ball and before the ball goes to his feet he already knows what is he going to do with it, he can make short distance passes as well as long distance ones. He shoots very well (probably the most shooting accurate portuguese player in present time). He gives speed to his team attacking plays because he always passes on the first or second touch, it´s obvious that he has his place on the NT.

2º He maybe had misbehaved on the NT but so were other players in the last few years and they are still in the NT, he didn´t kill anyone so i think that it´s unffair to push him aside from the NT.

well we have to wait untill scolari goes away to see the best players in the NT, it´s a shame but after all we live in a strange countrie
