I've read it in a couple of italian newspapers. It says that Abramovich its ready to pay more than 30million of euros plus Muto in exchange for Alessandro Del Piero. Abramovich says he wants to give chelsea a Zola kind of player.
The news also says that juve could consider the offer if it happens and then be able to keep trezeguet.

its here but in italian:

I think its a good deal for juve. Though it REALLY hurts me to say it, i think DP best days might be behind him. I hope im wrong, but hes just gets injured too much, and takes too long to regain form. Im not too sure about Mutu though, i think id rather take all cash and buy someone else.

Abramovich wants EVERYBODY... aint gonna happen

i would except. Mutu plus 30 million for an injury prone player. Why not?

you mean accept? ;)

Rob

No.

Del Piero hes best days are behind him, he is injury prone and is too much of a ghost on the field. He still has the days when he is just sublime but, I don't want him at Chelsea, and cannot imagine him outside the black and white stripes of Juve.

And, no one and I mean no one can replace Gianfranco Zola. If you want Zola Roman, just goto Serie B and buy him again.

**** Abramovich he's ruined Mutu's carreer by bringing him to Chelsea I want Mutu out of there.

only would that would be worth it is Totti if he wants a successor to Zola. Del Piero's best days are definately behind him with all the injuries now.

i think its a brilliant deal for juve
its not as if everything DP has accomplished with juve will mean nothing

i say keep DP, even if he dusnt play week in week out at his magical best, he means more to the club than just onfield performance
Alessandro Del Piero is the heart of the Juventus FC

yeah, that sucks :kader:

And you really think Juve will sell Alex?

Milan rejected an £80m offer for Sheva from Roman :|

And obviously Alex is supposed to mean more to Juve

He's their captain

It wont be a bad deal for Juventus tho ;)

would be a great deal for Juventus, although Del Piero is magic sometimes but he's way too inconsisten. Mutu is class and you could pick up the 30 million and buy Rosicky or good Dmid and a world class defender.

It'd be the deal of the century if it really happened.

If Roman had ever said something that could be morphed to such statement, it prolly was after some nice russian vodka. :p

I've been on again and off again to whether I like Del Piero. His best days are behind him, 30 mill plus Mutu is more than he is valued but he can never leave Juve. He is the captain, he is the face of Juve and has done some really great things. Next season, if he stays fit can achieve anything. He was going great guns at the start of season.

Besides, Juve would never sell him.

I agree, it would be a good deal for Juve.

I doubt it too, be a good deal though.

Chelsea can get some one better so they should spend their money wisely.........oops forgot that this is Roman....they can buy anyone for any price...don; t matter to them if the guy gets injured to much...!:kader:

PSVFOREVER

Well, I think they can use a forward, as the only one playing good is Hasselbaink

Its a rotation....very few players can play consistently in a rotation

i thought del piero wanted to end his career at juve so that he could get on the board or something.

exactly
but although baggio was a juve legend, i dont think he had the bond between club and player that DP has with juve

Baggio's heart was always at Fiorentina.

Pinturicchio bleeds black and white.

Juve without Del Piero? Thats like Inter without Javier Zanetti

IMO Juve should think about it and perhaps try to get Chelsea to raise their price but the best choice would be to keep Del Piero.

if i were juve, i wouldn't sell him for 90m. Ok..... thats just me.

Since Im Juve and Chelsea fan, this would be a dumb move for Chelsea but a good one for Juve if you only consider the football and money aspects.

I dont see a deal happening though because Roman may say one thing, but he will still have advisors helping him and they will suggest Mutu is better to keep around than getting DP simply because of the age factor. Tho I think DP would do well in the EPL because he is very similar to Zola in playing style, and yes the injury issue is a problem for him. Dumb rumor I think anyways.

Mutu's been class for Chelsea this season. I really like to watch him play in the EPL.

Hope he stays put.:(

Mutu has had trouble getting back into the team after his injury. Hopefully he can play on the weekend with Crespo. Jimmy and Eidur need a rest too.

Rob
07-04-2004, 06:16:PM
I think he hasn't started lately because the JFH / Eidur combo is truly world class, and much more effective againist a side like Arsenal. Plus I wouldn't risk starting Mutu in a game like Arsenal vs Chelsea.

The fact Chelsea haven't lost when JFH and Eidur have started may also play a factor :O

jani

and the fact that Mutu was awesome in Italy would make this an even better deal

but basically Mutu could be one of those players who cant play the big ones

Some players just dont have the experience or mental strength to play well in big games. Henry has this problem sometimes also. He hasnt really been that great in the big games this year for whatever reason. Mutu is still quite young. No reason to think he wont improve. Hell he has had a pretty good year for his first year at a new club and in a new league.
