I play at World Class level (PC version) and set the difficulty of the opposition to make them easier to play against

That's fine for the league games, but what about cup games...when I play a team that's not in the league how do I reduce their attack level.

Any ideas ?

Well, if you don't have small and fast fingers it is quite possible to lose to good teams in World Class level...

To answer the question: simply select the opposing team to be controlled by you for the first 2 seconds of the game, then go to Team Management and change their formation to defensive (IGM2) and the their attacking style to 'Posession'. Start play and select IGM2 for the team, then use Side Select to switch back to your own team. The opposition now plays much less aggressively.
