Analog stick v DPad?

I use the analog stick to control my players and for picking "as a gameshow hosts used to say" TOP - MIDDLE or BOTTOM ok left and right too.. and I would score goals a lot seemed to go straight to the keeper..

I then started to use the Dpad as in when in space and had time, I would switch from analog stick to Dpad at the last moment and shoot pressing the Dpad in the direction I wanted , suddenly shots seem to move and hit posts or crash of the bar from all angles, and a lot of the time find the net from the Direction I had held ths Dpad..

Is it just me ( just a coincidence ) or has anyone else seen the same?

I don't think I am seeing things, when I use the Dpad for picking my spot it seem to work better than the analog stick?

Maybe I have the shakes or something because when I use the analog stick I just can't seem to get a good level of control. It's very frustrating for me. So it's D-pad all the way.

I have heard reports of this beofre, from many a battle with my firends (who i might add are veterans of the controls) they always pick and swear by the D-Pad. I find it does seem more responsive. however i have thought myself the ways of analogue and find it very hard reverting back to the old style controller. By the way i refer to the PS2 version of PE3 so its not just on the PC this happens. I think the best is to use both if at all possible.

My experience is that the DPad is far better. Especially for doing the little shimmies etc.

Well I understand myself perfectely well with both DPad, and analogue, altough I prefer analogue...

It won't affect your performance nor you gonna loose anything,...
