I got PES 2012 few days ago, and I decided to open this thread for sharing Football Life mode (Master League) experience. I know there isn't many PES players on this forum, but all who play it are welcome to share their stories, experiences, tips & tricks, suggestions, etc.
First I must say that I am quite positively surprised with PES. I used to be a FIFA player, but unexplained lags made me play PES, and actually things got very on my hand cause I like this years PES. When I first time played Demo I was disappointed cause animations are sitll not good for my taste, and I said that many times. But animations are in shadow of amazing gameplay experience. Absolutely fantastic job from KONAMI!
What I like very match is atmosphere. You can "feel" every match, especially derbys... It's absolutely amazing. Training challenges are great, but too bad its very short.

I will start my first season with Villarreal, but with fictional squad. After, offcourse, with Arsenal, with real squad and with PESEdit Patch which have fully licensed teams and leagues. I know it sounds crazy, but idea to play with KONAMI's default squads seems very challenging and fun for me, and I never played like this before.
Also, I will share my tactics, srategies, formations... and I will try to fulfill everything with screenshots, or maybe after with some videos.
Recently, I had some problems with my motherboard and suply unit on my PC. Things are now fixed, and I hope that malfunction won't come back...
So, as I said, I started with fictional Villarreal team, D2 League.
I play on 10 min., and professional difficulty!
My team is total ??? for me. Overally my strongest player is AMF Shimizu - 75, which I signed from youth team. Second strongest is CMF Ettoro - 67. I also signed youngster CB Palmieri. All others are 60 to 65. Can't tell what style should I play right now, will need more matches and study more players attributes. RB El Moubark (Captain) showed nice technique in first match...
Transfer window is opened and I sent an offer for experienced midfielder and my future captain (I hope so) Elano. His market value is less then 1.5 mil Euros, have no club and he might join. I need this kinda player. First match I played against AIK and won 1-0. It was though, but nice header gave me first win (it was training match). My current formation is classic 4-4-2. What I noticed in first match was low fatigue from my players. They literally died, they were almost all in "red zone" 20 minutes before match end. I need to improve their form!
First reaction for Master League is absolutely fantastic. It's very rich with everything! Looking forward for next matches! FIFA's Career mode is nothing compared to Master League.

What game speed do you play at? Default? I like slower pace so mostly -2, but it makes it hard for the forwards to get past the defenders.

I play with default speed.
Ok, mate, I will change Irjescu role as a DM and will drop Hamsun a little back. I will also try formation which I usually play with Arsenal: 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, but doubt that my players will be on the task of it. The thing is that players are very bad shaped. It doesn't bother me that they don't have great dribble speed or shot, but stamina is so low. At least Castolo and other guys were able to play match to the end. xD Will study my team today a little better and see what to change, buy, sell etc.
Today I played two league matches...
1. JOHACHNAARD V.V. - VILLARREAL CF 1-1
2. FSV SARMTONBURG - VILLARREAL CF 2-0 - had big luck, it might ended 4 or 5 goals in my net...
Its enough for today, cause I got so frustrated with my f***ing team. Oh, man...!!!

Well, I can't be very disapointed by team, regarding what players I have, so it's actually not that bad, but I am getting so frustrating. I already see that even if I qualify for first league (Liga BBVA) it will need 2-3 years to get team into order.
I failed to sign Elano, even though he is free player, he obviously saw what dump Villarreal is and decide not to come.
As about my players, youngsters showed so far the best!
Youngster RMF Shimizu *75 (18) is my best player, and my current captain cause El Moubarki (my default captain and very good man) is injured and won't be ready for the half of season. Also, Shimizu asked me to give him #10 and I did.
As when every time you start ML with fictional players those players are the same, here is my opinion of some of them, which might help any of you who play with fictional squad:
- GK Lothar is decent
- CB Jarić is the best for his role
- DMF Stein and Dodo are great for breaking opponent midfield (as much they can be...)
- AMF Ettoro is good playmaker
- LWF Burchet is the fastest man, but he is 34 and I will use his speed until he retire, he also have great dribbling speed
- CF Hamsun and Ordaz are great strikers
- CF Heeder is the player with most precise shoot
Will see how next match (at home turf) will be, but another day, for today is enough.
I am currently 17. of 18. teams... Good, ha?

Look who I play against in the 1st leg of Spanish Cup.
I will usually not post my progress if I didn't play more then 5+ matches, but today I had 2 matches for almost a heart-attack, so I simply must share it.
After first two matches I had a draw and a lost, and was in the bottom of the D2 table. This team was totally unknown for me and it was very hard. But first two matches were at away, and next one was at home...
VILLARREAL - C.D. RALTONVEGUA 1-1
It was essential to win this match, or at least not to lose points, cause if I want to be promoted to first league I must at least not to lose home matches. Match started very bad... In the last seconds of the first half they scored. I was so pissed!! Then I decided to change the tactics, I have nothing to lose, I must chase the result, so, I change the formation and tactic to 4-3-3 with counter-attacks. Next half I was so proud what my team showed. Yes, yes, I was actually amazed how good my players reacted to 4-3-3. I played aggressively and it was worth it. In 80 minute, Irjescu scored from about 20 meters. Nice low precise ball, GK wasn't able to do nothing. It ended 1-1, but I was satisfied!
Next match was against 2nd team in the league. Very though one!
CANTLESIT SPOR - VILLARREAL 1-2
SPOR in my language means "slow", but they weren't slow, they were fast little bi*ches. 2nd team in the league, behind WE UNITED, without a lost in first three. It started with me scoring a nice goal from the edge of 16 m box. After, they attacked me so furious. They had one crossbar and one funny miss, but they eventually scored. Second half was mainly me defending, but from a counter I managed to score a second one. It was 50 min., a lot of time and they showed why are they 2nd team. They attacked from all directions, they had 4 corners in the row, but defence managed to hold them. Mainly, I didnt had the ball for more then few passes from 50 to 90 min., when a silly foul from Jarić led to red card and me with 2 minutes of pure drama till the end. Opponent attacker Gidiz was 1on1 with my GK and my boy saved it! It was over, my first win was here!

5 points from 1st place, but I think if I continue like this, and don't lose any home match, I'll qualify for first league.

I played 5 matches. And here they are:
S.D. QUAZTOLLA - VILLARREAL 0-2
Routine win. But my GK played big role, he saved almost two 100% chances. After, I played "my game" and win was easy.
SPANISH CUP - 1st leg
BARCELONA - VILLARREAL 5-1
Yes, my friends, I SCORED! Barcelona is 1st ranked team. Comparing my players and their I was scared not to gain more then 6-7 goals. They played without Messi, Villa, Xavi and Iniesta. I asked my self how to play against team which is so superior? Answer is easy - play on possession. I tried, but every ball I lost they converted to goal. Two nice counters and I was already traveling 2-0. Only 10 min passed. I managed to hold to the end of second half, with possession 63% in my benefit. Next half, they had 2 free kicks in "danger zone" and both they scored. In 80 min, my youngster Zarate (18) shuffled Barca's defence and scored. I already see that this kiddo will be great player. And offcourse, in last minutes they enlarge their lead to 5-1. I was happy, at least I scored! And I must say that they play very rough, and f*cking referee didn't call me few fouls/assaults.
Back to League. VILLARREAL - ODERSTEICH 2-1
Oh, that one was though. I was loosing to about 60 min, when managed to score and record 3 points.
VILLAREAL - HJORWESLAND BK 4-2
Goliad. Last team in league, and I was leading 3-0 in first half already. Later I scored fourth and they scored 2 goals in last 5 min. I wasn't concentrated!
SPANISH CUP - 2nd leg VILLARREAL - BARCELONA 0-1
I played very well, only one goal. It's not bad.
CS IOLCEANICU - VILLAREAL 1-1
I thought it will be easy one, but it wasn't. They were leading all over 80 min until Zarate took the point.
More and more I play I fell comfortable with my team. Now it's much better picture.

If I want to survive in first league, few class players must be bought. I already plan to buy:

Ninis (Panathinaikos)

Badelj (Dinamo Zagreb)
Lovren (Dinamo Zagreb)
I know, 3 Croats, but they are capable to do their job! Any recommendation of good defender and midfielder would be appreciated.
I will need about 5 millions, but currently I'll be in minus when I pay salaries. Hope board will reward me!
This weekend I'll probably end D2 League and, hopefully, qualify for Liga BBVA.

Nice last matches Waldo1639. Well I have too this problem with moneys and the Board must refuse some not enough good players to send budget in a + area.
