Understanding DLC Folder and leagues

Hi!

I think this question can help many people here in the forum.

There is someone who can help to understand txt files in dlc folder?
and what they intend to do in the game?
some files, like settings and compobj are more or less understandable, but the others like activeteams, advancement, compids, initteams, schedule, standings, tasks and weather are more confusing. they are a bunch of numbers with commas.

can anyone give me an idea of what each number is?
i wan't to try create leagues, but first must understand that files.

Other thing i would ask is since we know that to make a new league for now is possible just by replacing other existent leagues, anyone can give a clue if we can resolve this question, instead of making a league with for example 32 teams, we can make one with 2 groups of 16 teams each where the first classificated of each group could be promoted to other league?
In that way we can make 2 leagues by using only one ID.
Is this possible?

there is a lot more to it then understanding the tables, you have to understand the game, its structures & how its works first, otherwise knowing the texts does nothing for you.

Thanks for your replay rc. Besides, you're the guy i'm really looking for to see my post.
I'm more or less understanding what you mean.
I'm not so out about the structure of the game, besides it have great changes from previous version to that.

I know that's make relation to ID's and a sequential number that as we can see in DB Master, usually called artificialkey, but for me to trying to understand more about that, i must know what refers each number on the files inside this folder.
After that i will try to understand more for my own.
I just need a little impulse from someone who is more inside the known problems like you.

Any help for me is just fine.

it has nothing to do w/ the artificial keys.

this is why im telling you need to first learn the structures & understand how the game works.

if you dont & i help you, it will get to the point where you will be pming me 50 times a day, which i dont want to deal w/.

a little help will turn into me making your patch which i wont do, read up around the forum, learn as much as you can then worry about taking on the hard edits.

I'd say that the file that could make someone raise their eyebrow would be activeteams.txt

All the others pretty much just follow the logic structure. One of the main things to understand is that the ID's in the lines make the relation between the items in the texts, not the asset ID's wich are the ones that on this game are linked to the actual leagues (and share their ID's)

Example: asset id 53 is Liga BBVA(the actual tournament)

Your idea of having two leagues using one ID could work, provided the tornament settings were the ones making the separation between the teams... Not sure about the actual 2 group division cause I haven't actually tested it though
