can't win?

Ok i can't seem to win at this game and i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

I bought FIFA Manager 12 about two weeks ago and fell in love with it. I have to admit i don't know a lot about soccer/football but am quickly becoming a fan and find myself watching more soccer/football then anything else nowa days.

So i bought FIFA Manager, i'm able to get my finances under control quickly and start turning profits on my first year when creating a new team, i'm able to get my youth teams to produce some first team players within a few years, everything looks great, i can keep my fans, sponsors and the media happy nearly all the time.

The one thing i can't do is win, i mean i went an entire season in the American MSL league without a single win. thats a whole lot of losing. I don't know what i'm donig wrong here. It's not like i have crappy players, i originally started out being a bit frugal with my money but once that ended with nothing but i bunch of loses over a few years i started going after some of the best players on the market and still i cant win, the best season i've been able to muster up has been a season where i won only 7 games.

So what does it take to put together a winning team? I mean if i can't get at least an average team then i'm not going to bother getting FIFA Manager 13 because this is becoming rather frustrating. 13 seasons and not a single season where i was even close to having more wins then loses isn't worth another $60.

Please help show me what i'm not seeing.

ok maybe my question is to broad, let me refine it a little.

What are some of the things that you consider when looking to retain a player? how much weight does the overall score have? how about the level (number of stars assuming thats the level)?

so if i have a player with a 68 overall and 6 level would you take that guy over somebody who's got 61 overall and 7 levels?

try to play every match in 3D Mode..

Ok this is odd, i did a 10 game test and i ended up with 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. Why is there a difference between watching 3D and instant matches?

This a easter egg in the game.. 3D match always gives you more edge for winning.. infact if you play a bit carefully you can end up winning 100% games.. [proven to be working for Fifa manger 11 by me personally]
