Mexico is rather dull. The two short season thing bugs the hell out of me. Also they added a cup, which just makes more games to play with the reserves because only lower division teams seem to take it seriously.

We actually tried a succession game that had potential last year, but it kinda fizzled out.

I was starting to get the itch to buy FM, but then I read new posts and I'm discouraged.

So first things first; I think the Furth keeper looks like Aquaman.

Things at Schalke have gone okay through the years, as me and Bayern split the titles. Here are the first 5 seasons

In Europe, I was a fairly average side; roughly how Schalke perform in real life. UNTIL NOW!

2017/2018 was a landmark year at Schalke. First we set the Bundesliga points record

And then... well, let's just say that we're awesome

In other news, Son Heung-Min, who lost his starting job as my lone striker to 20 year old Oliver Staffeldt this season, won the Golden Boot as South Korea won the World Cup! The day after the World Cup Final I offered him out for transfer and got 40m from Chelsea. Hey, he made 11 league appearances last year, so this was the best I was ever going to do. This makes Son the 4th starting striker that I have sold off since arriving at Schalke (Huntelaar, Llorente, Lukaku, Son), which has pretty much financed my transfers over the past 5 years with combined transfer income hitting over 100m. I spent 29m of it on this guy

The two other guys I'm excited about are these:

First is Hleb, who I just can't figure out how I want to use. He scored 20 in 27 last year for Ajax in the league, but I don't think he's good enough to displace Staffeldt or Bernard. I think he could be a great AMC, but there isn't a ton of playing time available there either. For now, I'm trying to train him as an AMR from scratch.

Then there's Belic, who is going to be the world's best box-to-box MC.

Didn't notice his concentration. Maybe he'll be better suited as an AMC then

He could be an Oscar-type AMC.

Everything was set for 18/19 to be my last season with this Schalke game. I was tearing through the league, cup, and CL, having won the Super Cups and Club World Cup already.

Then I went out on penalties to 8 man Bayern 3-3 in the German Cup Semi Finals in my own stadium. And then went out to Marseille 1-0 on aggregate in the CL Semis. Don't know if I want to continue. I guess it's a good game to pick up when no other ones are appealing to me. So I'll probably come back to it at some point, but that's where I stand

I had a really good game with Sydney FC going, I'd win everything, and even finished runner-up to Juve in the world club championship (beat Corinthians on penalties). The goal was always to take a job in England after proving myself in Asia, and hopefully get to the top there too, but championship sides still weren't interested. So I took a job with Paraguay national team for Copa America (on the side of Sydney) - I planned to resign from Paraguay after that summer. But just after starting with Paraguay I got a job with Peterborough in the championship (who it'll be hard to keep up). Since then I've really lost interest.

Got two teams I don't care about, and both feel like a chore, rather than a game.
