Hey just wanted to share a little something I do before starting a league of any sort ( in this case Master League ). After downloading some patch, using Wolfs latest one now for WE7 I download the pes3opt editor, yeah its not for WE7 but it still works with WE7's option file. Then what I do is go to the MACRO EDITION tab and I find some options to decrease or increase certain stats for all positions or individual positions. This is what i do.

Goalies: Increase Response by 7--- This creates some very quick reflexes by all goalies to see some amazing knee jerk saves from point blank, it really improves the game in my opinion, very tough to score and very exciting.
Defenders: Increase aggression by 7. Now i was hesitant to do this as I thought that the game would end up being how it is on 5 stars with so much aggression hence leaving gaps open, that was not the case after testing this, the defenders go really hard to the ball just like in real life and there are much more hard tackles and the occasional injury. It is rather hard to pierce the defense with dribbling moves or passes towards the box, I've lost alot of games this master league 2nd season and I"m still in dvision 2,lol.
Midfielders: Increase aggression by 4. Not as easy to pass in the midfield as there will be a man on as soon as the ball is too receivers feet, can be very frustrating so you have to focus.
Attackers: Increase aggression by 2. Basic defending principle for attacking the ball carrier, a tad bit pressure on the defense coming out.
All Positions:
Increase Technique by 9: Skillful interplay created by the ai players to show some top skill seen in the leagues around the world. I've seen alot of new dribbling skills and passes by my opponents, more showing by teams skill level.
Increase Shot Technique by 7: Presents much more types of shots, I've seen bicycles, first time volleys, scissore kicks, many types and I might increase accuracy as most of these dont go in, but that percentage might be accurate as those kind of goals dont ofter go in in real life.
Increase Teamwork by 9 : I don't know exactly what this does but I guess it improves the teamwork, obviously, and consistency.
-- Okay, basically thats' what I wanted to share, I don't know if anyone else does this, it is sort of an alternative to editing the gameplay by increasing stats and it seems to work very well for me, I just started to find the game being very easy and now with those modifications it is a big challenge. Feel free to try it out and mix up some modifications too, take care.

That's great to hear! I'm having a hella time getting out of division 2,lol, hardest by far. I'm using Leeds and its my 3rd season in div 2,ugh. Good offseason trades have improved to 3-1 to start the campaign. Going to promote,damnit! Anyway, gald to see that things are working, please if you try this lets hear some input. take care
Good stuff guys. I'm glad I can somehow help into improving this already great game,lol, six stars, that's interesting way to put it. If any of you guys have any modifications please post, as I"m just testing here and there but I think my current settings are legit enough for now, as I"m still in the freakin 2nd division,argh! Just squeaked by Southampton in the division 2 cup leg 2, i was leading 3-0 on agg. and then they comeback in the 2nd leg to tie it and I score with Kezman in injury time of the first overtime, crazy stuff, I love it.

haha, who did you lose 4-0 to? My worst loss has been 4-0 as well to Southampton, damn Pahars! I just played blackburn and lost 1-0, a goal by Jansen in the 89th minute, just my luck, then Landon Donovan can't finish a volley in the box in injurty time,ugh. Still at the top with 15 points though, Blackburn is a point behind.
