The Last Straw!

Ya know, I really had great expectations for Fifa 2005. I downloaded the demo and had a great time. The demo worked flawlessly. I then went out and bought the game. Brought it home, started playing it. I'm in career mode, and then suddenly this problems creeps up out of nowhere. Everytime I try to play a match, there are slow motion spurts all throughout the game. It happens at least every 5-8 secs, its terrible.

I tried changing things like lowering the detail to low. Playing in 16 colors. Switching the program process in priority to high instead of normal. Nothing has worked, and i'm ready to take this piece of crap back. I've tried talking to technical support, but they just pissed me off even more. Reinstalling DirectX, reinstalling the game, and updating the drivers hasn't done jack. Does anyone have any suggestions before I take the game back? I would appreciate any help as i've bought just about every fifa game in the past. I love the series.

I could put up with all the little faults from fifa soccer in 94 to Fifa 2004. I've played and bought every game in the series. But then again, I could play all those games without an extremely annoying slow motion problem. Its not like I have a slow computer either. I have a 3.2 ghz proccessor with 512 MB ddr ram, GeForce 64 mb graphics card, so on so forth. There aren't any problems with my computer. All my other games run 100% perfect. This is the first time i've considered switching to another soccer gaming series. Anyone got any suggestions before I return this game?

thx,
blitz86

Sounds odd, looking at you specs that should work fine - how much of your hard drive is used up, and have you carried out a scan for trojan viruses or similar lately?
I'm pretty sure that this isn't a problem with the game itself, since I haven't seen anyone else with your specs complain about this problem...

I have 15 GB of free space left on my hard drive. As far as spyware goes, I have Ad-Aware and Bazooka Spyware detector. I run them daily and delete any trash.
