Listening to Radio 5 Live earlier, seeing as there were no games tonight they decided to hold a phone in poll or something. After listening to it for 5 minutes, I switched off after hearing the new fangled idea that England have a striker crisis.
When are these "crisis's" gonna end? Everytime theres an International match coming up, theres a crisis in a certain position.
The favorite of the English media for the past few years has been a left midfield crisis. To be fair its a decent point, we don't have many left footed midfielders. Even less who can play comfortably at International level.
During Euro 2004, suddenly we had a goalkeeper crisis, which seems to have been faded into the background noise these days now that people actually realised Robinson was worthy of playing International football, Kirkland actually playing 2 games in a row without getting injured for a season and Rob Green showing his ability in the Premiership.
Now its a so called Striker crisis. Personally, I don't see it. The people I remember being listed and there problems were
Emile Heskey - Not scoring enough and falling over to much
Robbie Fowler - Not playing and scoring enough
Andrew Cole - Too old

Alan Shearer - Retired from NT
Micheal Owen - Avergae at International level
Jermaine Defoe - Too young
Generally the main point the guy was saying is that we don't have someone who has scored consistantly at domestic level. Frankly I think it is rubbish.
