I've read elsewhere on these forums that getting the latest version of Direct X from Microsoft and/or the latest XBox 360 drivers should fix this.

As a workaround you might want to try the following: (Back up your old data and don't blame me if it wont work)
The following link will point you to a site with an online configuration utility (for FIFA 06) It produces a devdata.dat file to be placed in your DESKTOP FIFA/user folder. I tried this for my own XBox 360 gamepad and simply copied the devdata.dat file into the FIFA07/user desktop folder and it worked.

I use an Xbox controller aswell. Here's what to do:

Press Start > Run then type in regedit.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

ControlSet001

Control

MediaProperties

PrivateProperties

Joystick

OEM

Then click on the folder that has the name of your controller in the right hand screen. It'll probably be the bottom one.

Then right-click on OEMName and click Modify. Change it to Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB.

This makes your right analogue stick work, the only problem is that everytime you restart your computer you have to unplug your controller, rename the OEMName to the original one, re-insert your controller, and then change the OEMName to the Logitech one again.

Change your configuration then, in windows. Make the triggers buttons 7 and 8.
