My only shot at it was in Cm4 with EP1, so everytime i needed to call-up players for games, i got a limited spot. So after the first year i could call up about 10 players... I'm trying to become a NT manager now, it's near the Euro 2004 final so a lot of managers will get the sack. Now that i have a very good reputation after winning the Serie A and CL, i might have a shot at it.
I'm currently using the same tactic i used with Liverpool, the one i couldn't win the EPL with, alongside a 4-2-2-2 defensive counter formation. Looks like the 4-1-3-2 tactic was the problem in the big games, now that i use the other one, i seem to do quite well. My results with it are very good:
Dortmund 2-2 Milan
Inter 1-0 Milan
Lazio 0-1 Milan
Juve 1-1
Milan 3-0 Roma
Chelsea 0-2 Milan
Real Madrid 0-2 Milan
I already applied to be manager of Spain, England and Scotland. The first 2 looks impossible since it's only my 2nd season (and the start of it to say the least), but Scotland, well, they dont seem to have anyone up to the job i guess.
